EV Sector is growing

These days in India we can see a lot happening in ev sector and basically this is the sector that is getting more attention from the users. Earlier I did not pay much attention to this but nowadays whenever I read the newspaper I see that one or the other brand is trying to promote their EV products. Probably it is good for the users because now they are getting more options to choose from. Although there are manufacturers for the car also the two-wheeler segment is a hot in the market. Some very well-known and popular brands are manufacturing electric scooters and now this is also expanding to electric bikes.

Some brands like Ola and Ather are very popular. Ola is the company that has sold so many scooters in the market and they capture the bigger market cap. The company is struggling with service support and just some time back we have seen some discussion on social media raised by the users. Hopefully, they will be able to overcome this problem and if that happens then more users will be moving towards their product. Many new other brands are also trying to enter the EV segment including some traditional vehicle manufacturers which are also known as ICE vehicle manufacturers.

There is news that Jio is also going to enter this segment but no official announcement has been shared by the Jio company. For those who do not know about this company, I would like to mention here that it is the leading telecom company in India. The company started its operation in 2016 and in less than a decade now they are the biggest player in the Indian market. Marketing strategy has been aggressive which is good for them because they have got the first slot in the competition. Currently, 4 companies are operating in the Indian telecom market and also have one government company. This company has done well on the marketing side and because of that two popular telecom companies are behind them.

If the company enters the electric scooter or overall EV sector then it will increase the competition. Not sure if this is the official news or not but I could not find any official update about it so maybe it is true or maybe not but sometimes rumours can also be news. Because this is just about the product if the company enters the segment then users are going to benefit. Jio is known for innovative affordable solutions, which is why I'm optimistic about it.

Next year I am planning to buy one electric scooter for my daily usage and the cost of the scooter is higher than the traditional scooter. Still, it is a good option because the running cost is very low and it's like a one-time investment that we can use for a long time without any higher running cost. I have not decided which brand I will buy but will check out the available options when it is time. I just hope that I get a better product with better quality and that it is at a better price next year when I plan to buy EVs for myself.
