Slender skimmer dragonfly

Among the lush green leaves growing in the wild, I managed to spot a slender skimmer dragonfly standing gracefully on a thin, curved branch. This dragonfly, known in Latin as Orthetrum sabina, is a species of dragonfly in the Libellulidae family. It's a fortunate dragonfly, with a coloration that blends seamlessly with its surroundings. Its base color is green, adorned with deep black stripes. The green resembles leaves, while the black resembles shadows.

Its clear wings were perfectly open and slightly lowered gracefully as if ready to flap. Its wings reflected a faint shimmer when hit by the reflection of the sun that looked like a thin, almost invisible glass. The translucent wings are not plain, but are adorned with fine black lines that form an intricate pattern. Upon closer inspection, the pattern resembles a fine net, patiently created by nature.

The presence of a dragonfly like this always creates a distinctive impression in a natural setting, indicating that the environment is still preserved, or in other words, free from pollution. Furthermore, the presence of dragonflies also indicates a healthy ecosystem. As we know, dragonflies are insects that fly super agilely, so they are known as natural predators for mosquitoes and other small insects.

The dragonfly, created by nature, whose wings help it fly over green plants, is a gift from nature to us.
