Indian Cupid butterfly

Amidst the gentle rustle of the morning breeze and the dancing green shadows of the leaves, I found a tiny butterfly perched peacefully on the tip of a Vernonia cinerea flower bud. It was as if the world had stopped spinning for her alone. I watched her antennae and tail move up and down as if she were having a quiet conversation with the flower, discussing a life only those who live in the wild understand.

Her thin, soft wings were light gray, adorned with interconnected black spots. The tips of her hind wings had a touch of orange with a black dot within, beautifully resembling a pair of eyes. If you look closely, this butterfly's wings look like a painting, lovingly created by nature and time.

Every detail on her wings tells the story of her long journey, from a caterpillar often considered a nuisance and disgusting creature to the beautiful winged creature we see today. This beautiful butterfly is called the Indian Cupid butterfly, which is one of the butterflies that comes from the lycaenids or blues family.
