Great eggfly butterfly

On a green leaf still holding the remnants of morning dew, I found a great eggfly butterfly resting peacefully. Its wings were fully extended. Judging by its dulling color and worn wingtips, it was already very old. But its enthusiasm for seeking sunlight to bask had not faded. The dull color and damaged wingtips proved it had endured the many joys and sorrows of this world.

When I approached, the butterfly didn't fly away, it remained still, motionless like a statue, occasionally moving its antennae very slowly to the rhythm of the cool breeze. At first glance, the butterfly's stillness seemed ordinary. But as I observed it closely, its stillness was imbued with meaning. Its charm was one of serenity. In other words, its charm was a small pause in the hustle and bustle of life's constant movement.

It always makes me sad when I see butterfly wings destroyed, like in this case. It's truly beautiful. I didn't know this butterfly was called that.

I feel the same way as you. The color is dull and looks fragile, but that's where the story lies. It's still beautiful even though it's been hurt.
