Grasshopper | Mecopoda elongata

Hello everyone, good afternoon wherever you are, how are you this afternoon? Hope you are fine wherever you are.

I"m back here again and on this occasion I want to show you some beautiful shots of a beautiful grasshopper perched on a dead wood branch. The color of this grasshopper is very attractive, a color that is very easy to camouflage. Try to look carefully, the color of this grasshopper is very similar to the color of the place where it stops. Even though the grass around it is fresh green, I'm sure if predators don't look carefully then this grasshopper won't be seen.

Apart from its attractive color, it also has a fantastic body shape, its body is long and slender. The long and strong hind legs add beauty to this grasshopper. A pair of delicate antennae like to make funny sounds, often moving erratically. Throughout the meeting with me, the antenna kept moving, I didn't know the meaning of that movement. On its body there were remnants of spider webs, most likely the grasshopper had just escaped from a deadly trap set by spiders. Maybe that gesture was a code for me, don't come near him.

Here I felt lucky because he only gave a code from his antenna movements so that I didn't approach him. Usually, if insects don't want us to be near them, they will emit an unpleasant odor. That is also an additional value for this grasshopper, beautiful and kind. In Latin, this beautiful grasshopper is known as Mecopoda elongata, which comes from the Tettigoniidae family. Now let's look at some beautiful shots of the beautiful grasshopper below👇
