Damselfly

Damselfly is one of the insects whose body is very tiny like a needle, but its charm is extraordinary with bright striking colors like the one I found here which is reddish orange. I found the damselfly perched gracefully on the tip of a young leaf. When perched, both of its wings are closed behind its body which makes its appearance even more enchanting.

Its size is too small so that many people ignore it. But for nature observers like me, damselfly is something that is sought after to be observed and of course to be photographed. Photographing it is full of challenges but addictive. Its small body is very difficult to find a focal point, especially when there is wind when it is photographed, the challenge is perfect.

However, you also need to know that damselfly is not in just any place, they spend more time in calm and pollution-free environments. Like the one I found here, the damselfly was in the grass which was not far from the lake. If you want to enjoy it directly, then look for quiet places that do not have too much human activity.
