Confucian dart butterfly

On a fresh green leaf, I found a beautiful creature standing gracefully and calmly. It was a Confucian dart butterfly, or Potanthus confucius in Latin, and it belonged to the Hesperiidae family. It stood there quietly, only playing with its antennae. Even though my phone was very close to it, it remained perfectly still. This is one of my favorite butterfly traits.

This butterfly may be small, but its charm is no less captivating than larger ones. If you look closely, this tiny butterfly is like a secret piece of the forest waiting to be discovered. Its color is a beautiful golden yellow. When sunlight hits its body, it reflects a beautiful shimmer. It's only visible to the eye willing to pause and observe it.

This butterfly is active when the sun begins to shine brightly. As for its preferred location, it's like most other butterflies, it prefers colorful flowers and fresh, green surroundings. However, there's one thing you should know, this butterfly doesn't hover in the air; instead, it flies at a very sharp speed, similar to a fighter jet. When it's about to stop somewhere, it doesn't stop immediately. Instead, it first checks whether the place is safe. It circles around the area several times before stopping.
