Common bluetail dragonfly | Ischnura senegalensis

Hello everyone, good afternoon wherever you are, how are you this afternoon? Hope you are fine wherever you are.

I"m back here again and on this occasion I want to show you some beautiful shots of the common bluetail dragonfly. In Latin, this dragonfly is known as Ischnura senegalensis which comes from the Coenagrionidae family. This dragonfly is one of the dragonflies that has unique characteristics and is easy to recognize. It has a very slim and long body, very much resembling a needle. And the color it has is also very rare for dragonflies with larger bodies.

The dragonfly that I encountered has four color variations, namely orange, black, bluish green and green. Apart from that, there is also a pair of transparent wings which are equipped with a characteristic black line pattern. And when stopping somewhere, the two wings are pressed together very tightly. As long as I was in the middle, the wings were never moved, let alone distanced.

For its habitat, this dragonfly prefers damp places such as ponds, rivers, rice fields, sometimes also in small bushes. As I saw, the dragonfly was in the grass not far from the rice fields. And the dragonfly was standing majestically on the grass there.

It is a tiny dragon fly and I can imagine it's not easy to photograph. Nice shots 👌

Yes, that is true. It is very difficult to focus on such small objects. Thank you for being here.
