Carbula scutellata ladybug
At the tip of a time-gnawed leaf, a Carbula scutellata ladybug stood quietly. I cautiously approached it. It stood there silently, motionless, making no sound, let alone screaming for praise. The ladybug's appearance is truly beautiful. However, its small size often makes it overlooked, only visible to the eye willing to stop.
Look at its beautiful body shape, resembling a triangular shield. Not only its shape, but its coloration is also striking, a copper-red blending beautifully with lime green. One thing that stands out most about this ladybug is the unique pattern on its back, resembling a wine glass filled with pure green tea, carefully blended by the forest and time.
Its antennae are also beautiful, long, delicate, and segmented. They move occasionally, as if adjusting the right signal. Its legs are thin but strong, capable of supporting its seemingly heavy body. A pair of tiny, round, copper-red eyes, ready to monitor its surroundings. On the left and right sides of its shoulders are strong, sharp spines. Most likely the thorns were used to protect themselves from predator attacks.
