Bellyache bush
Today, I found something different than usual. My intention was to hunt for insects as usual, but instead, I found this unique tree. The color and shape of its leaves caught my attention. It was a Bellyache bush, a unique plant that grows in the wild. Without thinking, I immediately approached the tree. Upon arrival, I was amazed. The shape was truly striking. When I looked at the leaves, they resembled a human hand, wide open, as if showing off its beautiful fingers.
Each leaf has three lobes. The lobes are long and pointed at the tips. Even more striking, the grooves between the lobes are deep and distinct, further enhancing the leaf's resemblance to a human palm. As for the color, I noticed the leaves were two-tone, young leaves were maroon, and older leaves were green. As for the veins, I noticed that even as the leaves matured, they remained maroon.
While concentrating on the leaves, my eyes caught something more interesting among the unique foliage. There were flowers and fruit. The flowers were very small, growing in clusters neatly arranged on a single stem. Their shape was equally beautiful, resembling small, bright red bells adorned with yellow stamens. The tree actually produces many flowers, but they weren't visible from a distance. Even though I was up close, I noticed them while photographing the leaves.
