Beautiful shot of beautiful mushrooms growing on a fallen tree
Behind a long-fallen and decaying tree trunk, I discovered a small, colorful, and constantly breathing world. They grew quietly on the trunk, unmoving, not showing off, let alone screaming for attention and praise. At first glance, these mushrooms may seem ordinary, but when you stop to look closely, their charm is incredibly beautiful and hard to ignore.

Like this red mushroom that I first encountered. It was very small, with a stem as fine as thread. Despite its small size and seemingly fragile appearance, the mushroom stood firmly on the decaying tree trunk. Small as it was, its presence made the decaying wood feel alive and colorful. Upon closer inspection, this mushroom resembled a vinca rosea flower, except it lacked a hole in the center.

After I was satisfied photographing the red mushroom, I looked for another tree trunk. I found a fallen coconut tree. There, I found a mushroom that was no less interesting. The appearance of this mushroom made me hungry; its shape resembled a sweet thick pancake. Sweet thick pancake version in the wild🤣

Still on the same tree, I found another mushroom. Judging by its texture and color, this mushroom is a relative of the one above. It just grows differently. This mushroom grows in clusters of three close together, layered along the grain of the wood.

I continued my walk, searching for another fallen tree. I almost missed it. On the tree I encountered, there was a mushroom that resembled a dried leaf. This mushroom wasn't alone; there were other fresh mushrooms in cream, light brown, and yellow. The brown, light brown, and cream mushrooms had a very tough fleshy texture. I tried touching it, and it felt like wood, hard.

Meanwhile, the yellow mushrooms are jelly mushrooms. They are soft and smooth. Although very small compared to other mushrooms nearby, they bring a cheerful atmosphere with their bright colors. They have a warm, earthy feel.
