Greetings again my dear friends, if there is something that characterizes us as human beings is to protect everything that matters to us, however, when we talk about our planet, and especially the results in terms of the level of pollution, and the irrational consumption of natural resources, we are far from having contributed to the necessary protection of our planet Earth.

Our entire existence is based on an intimate relationship with our environment, since we obtain from it all the resources that allow us to continue with life, therefore, our greatest task will always be to take the best possible care of our planet and, whoever does not see it this way, would be acting against himself, an action that seems to be the highest denominator among mankind.

Man needed to implement a tool that would allow him to study and know the existing relationship with his environment, for this, he used ecology as one of the branches of science, our Earth provides us with any amount of material resources essential for life such as water, oxygen, food, minerals, among many others, and sometimes we believe that this source of resource generation is infinite.

Although natural resources are abundant, they are totally finite, and time has determined it this way, so one of our main tasks as humanity is the rationalization in the consumption of natural resources. Due to the importance of the environment for our subsistence, a concern has been generated which has resulted in the creation of institutions or organizations dedicated to the constant evaluation of the state of the environment.

Until now, neither the increase in the consumption of natural resources, nor the degree of environmental pollution at a planetary level has been stopped, generating atmospheric pollution and water pollution, and we are talking about the latter resource (water) in relation to its vital importance for the life of any species on the planet, where we human beings are the greatest demanders of these resources.

Water and its importance for all living things on the planet

This vital liquid is undoubtedly essential for every living being on the planet, because the major bodily functions depend on water, on average 65% of our body weight comes from water, this linked to our age and sex, for example, a newborn has an average of 75% of water and for the elderly this average drops below 50%.

Water represents the fuel for our body, so it is very beneficial to ingest it, our body requires constant hydration, for example, the fact of breathing requires a percentage of water, and it helps us to regulate the temperature of our body when sweating.

Another important example is the process of food digestion which requires water, in short, our whole body requires water, blood, muscles, bones, skin, heart, lungs, brain, eyes, if we take into account the enormous importance of water for our existence, I am sure that we would take care of its rational use, even with our own life.

Although there are natural water pollutants such as floods, volcanic activities, bacteria, global warming itself, we should not leave behind some of our actions that generate water pollution, for example, waste from industrial activities discharged into the water without treatment, untreated wastewater, deforestation, use of pesticides and artificial fertilizers, among others.

The planet's most important natural resource for life is at risk

How many times have we heard or read the above words related to the imminent risk of the existence of humanity for lack of drinking water, maybe there have been many, we believe that it is not true, many people have heard them say, if that were true we all would have died already, however, we could ask you Are you aware of the reality that lies ahead of us in the future?

Beyond thinking about the future, there are currently many countries on the planet that are already experiencing this sad and worrying situation, so are we prepared to face such a harsh reality? It seems that we are not, or we are just assuming an attitude of non-tragedy, until the lack of drinking water becomes the real pandemic that will end the existence of humanity.

An example to highlight is a remarkable report presented by the UN, where it warns that around 2 billion people worldwide could be consuming water contaminated with feces, just to mention one of the many water pollutants generated by human action, therefore, I emphasize again, that there are different factors that pollute water, including natural origin, however, they do not compare with those generated by human activities.

Education, an important field for raising awareness about water care

Still in my mind I keep memories of the recommendations of my school teachers in relation to the care of this precious liquid, from that moment I feel that they sowed in me that seed of protection of water, for example, not to waste it, but to a proper use, since I was a child I learned to value water, and in that sense, I talked to my parents daily about what I learned in school, and always shared with them this teaching of life, and it really is of life, and to this date I could create in it an important habit of rational use of water consumption.

Education for me represents the most essential field that allows us to discern our ideas of life, in this field converge all that knowledge that other areas are getting, when from a very young age we are taught to value our environment for sure that future societies can harvest the best fruit of conscience for the protection of the planet, this seed must be cared for at all educational levels, primary, secondary in our highest houses of study, and even in each of the work spaces, and especially also from our homes.

Therefore, we have to understand that the protection of the planet is a constant task throughout our development as an integral person of any society in the world, for my humble opinion, we have tried to raise awareness of humanity as adults, I do not mean that it is impossible to do so, however, it costs more to do so, as children our mind is much more flexible to cultivate values, such as the deserved care of our home, the Earth.

Conclusion

Much could be said in relation to the precious liquid water, one of the species that personally has caught my attention for its beauty is the jellyfish, this living being has more than 90% of water in its body. When observing water beyond the fact of ingesting it and its multiple benefits for our organism, it represents the most natural vehicle of transport of those substances that are dissolved in water, and undoubtedly, both in our body and outside it, there are countless water-based solutions with great impact on the life of any ecosystem on the planet.

For no one at this point can surprise the phrases, water is life, and if you doubt it at some point, you may realize that by not ingesting it would cease to exist in a few days, then, let us think that we must create and help create the necessary habit of protecting the Earth and, consequently, all the resources that she is, being the most vital to the entire universe, water.

We have all learned or wished to have a home, and when we have it, we usually get used to love it and take care of it, we have in a natural way a common home as is the planet Earth, and we all must take care of it, it is a huge home, but we are several billions of people who have to take care of it, because besides sheltering us, it represents the largest storehouse of natural resources that allows us to stay alive, therefore, it is a home with enormous added value for humanity.

Until another opportunity my dear friends.

In my opinion, the major problem is that for many of us, water is not considered as the greatest resource of the planet. However, "no water" equals "no life". That's a simple (sad) equation. We should be more careful with all resources of the planet, and water especially as we are threatening our whole subsistence as a species...

Cheers!

Hello dear friend @lemouth.

The big problem is that for many of us water is not considered as the greatest resource of the planet.

You are absolutely right, maybe it will be too late for the next generations to value this precious resource, let's hope not, and let's start from now to do it, at least, the vast majority of human beings.

Thank you for your valuable contribution, greetings.

It is assumed that among the greatest debts of humanity is to bring electrical appliances and roads to the villages, without understanding that this is not the way and that modern society walks along dark paths that threaten its own destruction, and I am not referring to the economic but to the environmental and family.

Hi @agrovision.

Modern society walks dark paths that threaten its own destruction, and I am not referring to the economic but to the environmental and family.

Great point of view that you share with us with which I agree.

Thanks for your extraordinary contribution, greetings.
