Hello friends. In the rocky coastal area of the northern coast of Havana, there is a rocky surface adjacent to the sea, very rough and irregular. It is a surface or platform of a relict marine terrace. It is known in Cuba as the Seboruco marine terrace, and was elaborated by the abrasive action of the sea on an old carbonate reef formation, originated during the Sangamón marine transgression. This coral formation, as it emerged, was being carved by the action of waves and tides, and once completely emerged, it was subjected to dissolution processes that created the irregular appearance of the limestone rocks of this terrace, which is known as lapiés.
