Digital Roaming (Original Poem)

Opening leaves stretch to awakened sky,
parched of synthesized light.
I drink it in. The fledgling embittered
pressure of something new,
pushing through earth, denied rebirth
by synthetic AstroTurf -
a seed flowering into nothing.

Opening out like that moment
between breath and choking.
Money spent on a passage to death.
Stochastic codes, paths between synapses
wrapping me up in memories,
sunny days, whiling away time
on nothing.

Opening up new worlds.
Veiled resonance reasons
as I stay stuck on repeat.
A virtual parody of life.
All the while the electric fire
sputters a static muttering
in the dubious silence.
I watch the screen
and say nothing.
