Daily Haiku - Smart Phone Zombie

click bait released Dopamine;
replacement for brains.
This picture inspired me to write a Haiku about how addicted many people (including myself) are to their phones. I guess that it's inevitable when you replace real social interaction with a virtual alternative, that some people were going to end up taking it to excess. I honestly think that I'm at the edge of the danger zone.
There is a whole bunch of research about how social media triggers Dopamine response, and I think that social media is the main culprit for smart phone addiction.
Perhaps we on hive are testing the new depths of this dopamine response!
When you consider that both 'perceived approval' and monetary reward are in the equation, is hive kinda like the 'crack' of the social media world? With Twitter and Facebook as the good old fashioned regular cocaine 😂 I know I check PeakD multiple times a day to both read other authors and see how my posts are being received.
What are your thoughts on this issue?
Are you a Fbook, Twitter and hive addict?
Do you check your phone a million times a day?
I have decided to challenge myself for the next month - until the 01st of July - to post a daily Haiku on Hive. Each week will have a different theme based on picture prompts from either Pixabay.com or Unsplash.com.
This week's broad theme is technology.
Thanks for reading 🌿
