• Today I want to share with you this trip full of new things I learned and where I decided to practice a little photography. On my birthday, my partner gave me a new camera lens that I am learning to use. It is not a micro lens, but rather one that is ideal for photographing distant subjects. It is 75-300 mm. Those of us in the world of photography know that lenses can be quite expensive, so it's time to use it and learn how to handle it.

• El día de hoy quiero compartirles este paseo lleno de aprendizajes cosas nuevas y donde decidí practicar un poco de fotografía, en mi cumpleaños mi pareja me regalo una nueva lente fotográfica que estoy aprendiendo a usarla, no es micro si no más ideal para fotografiar objetivos a distancia es de 75-300 mm, las personas que estamos en el mundo de fotografía sabemos que las lentes tienen unos precios bien dolorosos así que es momento de utilizarlo y aprender a manejarlo.

• Right now we are in the mountains of Loures practicing nature photography. I was eager to photograph a bird, but for that kind of activity I have to go to areas that are easier to see, for example, where there is water. However, I managed to capture other smaller animals and I am also happy because some of the photographs turned out as I wanted.

• En estos momentos nos encontramos en las montañas de Loures practicando fotografía en la naturaleza. Con suerte estaba ansiosa por lograr fotografiar un pájaro, pero para ese tipo de actividad tengo que dirigirme a zonas que son más fáciles de visualizar, por ejemplo, donde hay agua. Sin embargo, logré capturar otros animales más pequeños y estoy también contenta porque algunas de las fotografías salieron como yo deseaba.

• Since we are in the mountains, it is natural to find many pine trees around us, of different shapes, sizes, and colors, but we must be aware that there are different species. For example, here we can see one that I was able to identify on the internet as [Chamaecyparis lawsoniana]. (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chamaecyparis_lawsoniana). If you have seen it in horror movies made in the United States, you are not mistaken. This species is commonly found in that country, in Oregon, but it is also found in Europe, in countries such as Portugal, Scotland, Spain, etc. It has also spread to Asia, and can be found in some areas of Japan.

• Como estamos en las montañas es natural que los encontremos en nuestro alrededor muchos pinos, de diferentes formas tamaños y color, pero tenemos que conocer que hay especies diferentes por ejemplo aquí podemos observar uno que logre identificar en internet que es Chamaecyparis lawsoniana si lo has visto en películas de terror realizadas en estados unidos no estás equivocado, esta especie normalmente se encuentra en ese país, en Oregón, pero también se encuentra en Europa, como Portugal, Escocia, Portugal, España etc. También su extensión llegó a Asia, en algunas zonas de Japón puede ser encontrada esta especie.

• Cupressus amazónica Another shrub native to North America that was introduced to Europe, this beautiful and unusual plant gives the impression that it has snowed because some of its tips reflect the sun and turn whitish in color. Its native habitat is in the northern forests of the United States and Mexico. Like the previous plant, it was brought to Europe and introduced there. It is not invasive and is even commonly used at Christmas. However, it can cause some house fires because it is a highly flammable plant, so if you want to have one at home, be very careful. Another interesting fact: in Portugal, there are areas where you are allowed to cut your own pine tree, or you can buy them at some authorized nurseries.

• Cupressus amazónica Otro arbusto originario de norte América que fue introducido en Europa, esta hermosa planta peculiar que da una sensación que hubiera nevado porque algunas de las puntas con el reflejo del sol da una un color blanquecino, su hábitat de origen es en los bosques del norte en estados unidos y México, al igual que el anterior se trajo la planta y tuvo una introducción en Europa, no es invasora e incluso suele ser el clásico que es utilizado en Navidades y puede ser un causante de algunos accidentes de incendio en casa porque es una planta muy inflamable así que si deseas llevar uno en casa ten mucho cuidado. Otro dato curioso: en Portugal existen zonas donde estás autorizado para cortar tu propio pino o puedes comprarlos en algunos viveros autorizados.

• Our first photographic model that decided to pose for us was this beautiful lizard, specifically an Iberolacerta horvathi, a species that, despite being similar to sand lizards, only inhabits forest areas, hiding among the rocks. You can photograph them when they decide to sunbathe, as they tend to stay still for a long time. This species is more commonly found in northern Italy, Croatia, western Slovenia, and southern Austria. However, as we can see in Portugal, they can also be found here. It is very important to know that if you see one, you must avoid harming it, as the species is endangered and at risk of extinction.

• Nuestro primer modelo fotográfico que decidió posarnos fue esta hermosa lagartija específicamente es una Iberolacerta horvathi una especie que a pesar de ser similar a las de arenas estas amigas solo habitan en zonas de bosques ocultándose en las rocas y puedes fotografiarlas cuando deciden tomar el sol y suelen quedarse quietas por un largo tiempo. Esta especie es más común encontrarla en el norte de Italia, Croacia, oeste de Eslovenia y sur de Austria. Pero, como podemos observar en Portugal, también la podemos encontrar. Es muy importante saber que, en caso de observar una, tenemos que evitar darle algún peligro, ya que su especie se encuentra en estado de amenaza en entrar en peligro de extinción.

• My favorite model of the day, a curious grasshopper that provided one of my favorite photos on this adventure. I have previously discussed grasshoppers in relation to their role in nature and how there are different types of this species. According to the internet, our friend is an Oedaleus (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oedaleus). We can find it anywhere, even in parks, but obviously you can see them in abundance in the mountains. This friend has a fairly extensive distribution and is found on the continents of Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and oceanic islands. Although it is not native to Europe, it has not been considered a pest so far, although I have read in some news articles that if there are not enough predators to control its population, it can quickly become a pest, especially in crop fields.

• Mi modelo favorito del día, un curioso saltamontes que entrego una de mis fotos favoritas en esta aventura, anteriormente ya hable de los saltamontes referente a su función en la naturaleza y como existen clases diferentes de esta especie, según el internet nuestro amigo es un Oedaleus Lo podemos encontrar en cualquier lugar incluso en parques, pero obviamente de forma abundante los puedes ver en las montañas, este amigo tiene una distribución bastante extensa se encuentra en los continentes, África, Asia, Australia, Europa, e islas oceánicas. A pesar de que su origen no es de Europa, por los momentos no han sido consideradas plagas, aunque en algunas noticias me llegué a encontrar que si no tienen varios depredadores que controlen su población, pueden convertirse en una plaga rápidamente, sobre todo en los campos de cultivos.

• Boletus calopus It may be this species of mushroom, but I'm not 100% sure because I couldn't see the red part. According to the internet, it is a bitter mushroom that can be found in forests, is very common in Europe, and is not edible. It has an extremely bitter taste.
