A Preference That Aligns With Me

In this current digital transformation, technology has become an essential part of our daily lives. Whether it is for communication, work, or entertainment purposes, we find ourselves surrounded by devices that suit our preferences and ones that work comfortably for us to meet our needs in different ways. With the advent of mobile devices and personal computers, each individual has found a desirable and unique way of exploring this digital landscape.

As someone who engages with technology daily, I've found my preferences and habits have aligned with a certain device, depending on the activities at hand. I am more used and addicted to my mobile than my computer for certain reasons. I am always on my mobile device most of the time as it gives me the ability to type at a faster speed than on my laptop. I am not much of a fast typist when it comes to using my laptop but with my phone, it is easier and faster to get things done.

Moreover, my laptop cannot be carried everywhere as it is only used when I am at home and when there is electricity but with my mobile, I use it everywhere, whether in the kitchen, outside, or pacing around the house and it is convenient that way. Using my computer keeps me on the spot until I am tired. When it comes to chatting too, I depend on my mobile as I am used to the keyboard and do not even need to look at those buttons while typing.

Unlike some people who have mastered the use of computers for typing and are used to where the letters and numbers are on the keyboard, I would say these work more on their computers than on their mobile devices.

Using a computer is easier in terms of opening different tabs and working simultaneously on each tab to get their work done, this cannot be done smoothly on a device and work wouldn't be done faster.

Some individuals are used to sending transactions, and emails using their computers rather than their phones, mine isn't like that. I assume these things can be done on mobile faster and quicker. This is because I can easily make transactions, and send emails while on the go than carrying my computer around. My younger sister is so addicted to her computer that she doesn't make transactions or send emails on her phone, she relies on her computer to do that.

She would always say, "When I get home, will send it on my computer" The reason is that she doesn't install bank apps or any other thing on her phone but her computer where she does a lot of tasks. To me, this depends on stable electricity too to perform these tasks easily. This is why I make use of my mobile since I can easily charge with a power bank if there is no electricity to charge naturally.

I am the kind of person who uses her phone all the time and finds it easier to perform activities on it but whenever I need to use my computer, either learn a course, check out something that requires the use of a computer etc, I use it but if not, I make use of my phone.

There are times I would wish to chat using my laptop either on WhatsApp or Discord but when I have used a little time and find that my typing is slow and not as interesting as I want, would immediately switch to mobile and the flow would be enjoyable. Using my mobile has been more convenient, comfortable, and easier than my computer. Engaging on my computer depends on the kinds of activities I want to perform especially learning as the screen is always bigger and bold than on mobile and that makes learning fun for me.

I think I once read from you where you said you prefer to type on computer to phone.

Anyways, I always feel jealous at those people because that thing is not fast for me😅

Yea, I couldn't continue when it makes my typing so slow. I most times type on computers but it is more easier and faster on mobile.

I wish I could be able to type faster on computer too but my ideas would disappear when I use like 3 mins to type just 20 words 😅

So I wasn't being weird finding it too slow to use my pc to create contents... Before I write to the third paragraph, I've forgotten what the post was to be about 😅

The ease of taking my phone wherever makes it the most use for me too.
