A new era with a new phone.

My previous phone clocked two years in April this year and it started acting up, misbehaving to the extent that whenever I am typing with it, suddenly, it will trip off by itself and I would wait for a while before it turns on again before continuing what I was doing. At one point, I got so frustrated and it affected my activeness on Hive, and Discord and even stopped me from doing Leothreads.

Many times, my previous phone would just get heated up without using it and delayed me on a lot of activities online as I would wait for it to cool down. The worst is that the capacity wasn't enough again as it keeps telling me "insufficient storage" when I am in the middle of recording a song for Hive Open Mic. This phone has tried its best as it helped me earn a lot of money on Hive. It has been my best buddy as it keeps me company and lively while I lock myself indoors all day, as long as there is light and many times, the power bank saved most days for me.

I decided to get a new one as soon as possible to get back on track with my activities on Hive. I needed a bigger phone with a large capacity, most especially one which will have a clearer camera, both for the back and front for taking selfies. I needed a new phone badly for taking good pictures and having a good and clear video for my songs.

I consulted my friend, @vickoly who I asked to help me get a good phone recommendation and nice specifications. After a day, he came with two phones: Samsung Galaxy A14 and Redmi Note 10 Pro. I checked for both prices and discovered I could afford Samsung Galaxy which cost #130,000 ($175+). I was okay with the specification as it is also the latest phone. It has 4 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM.

I got dressed up and visited the popular slot in town on Monday which was two days ago. I got there and requested the phone I wanted and I had to swap my previous phone with it. They accept swapping of phones, provided you have the receipt to confirm it was bought and not a stolen one. One thing about me is that I know how to handle phones. For the two years that I was using the previous phone, it never cracked or fell because I handled it like an egg 😀 The agent that sold the phone for me was shocked to see how neat it was even after such years. After bargaining on the price he would sell the phone, the amount was deducted from the initial price for a new one and I paid through transfer.

I spent another two hours charging it because there was no light at home and I needed to start using it once I got back home. I had to wait to get it fully charged before using it. It was a hectic day as I got back home weak, hungry and tired. I managed to get to the supermarket around my city and bought some items.

I tried to test the camera of my new phone and took the food I ate in the afternoon. Here is a picture of Wheat Bread and Chivita drinks during the day.

Here is a picture of a flower opposite my house at night. I did this just to confirm if the camera is a quality one and I love it compared to my previous phone.

Apart from all of these, I love how super fast it is, it's also light in weight while holding it. I have been enjoying the work since yesterday and I never stopped staring at my new baby just as Vickoly called it. Lol

I am so grateful to Hive for blessing me with a new phone and this wouldn't have happened without my consistency and patience on the chain. I believe this Samsung Galaxy A14 will produce more money for me and would make more than what I bought with it. It is my first time using a Samsung phone as I have been used to Android phones.
