A lip smacking authentic recipe from Rajasthan. Give this recipe of Rajasthan a try and you will became a big fan of this Dal Baati dish Its everyone's favorite in my home including Me😁. As you have been reading my Blog for a long time then you might know I belongs to Rajasthan(churu). There we used yo eat once in a month,which my mother cooked in clay stop and it taste amazing.

Dal Baati Churma this 3 in 1 delicacy is serve in Hotels and its very popular cuisines of Rajasthan. Churma is sweet, daal is spicy and baati is simple , dipped in the Ghee(clarified butter)and served.
In my todays blog I am sharing a recipe of DAL BAATI. I didnot made churma because I dont want to eat sweet so I skipped it.

The main Ingredient is Ghee in this recipe. There is no substitute of ghee. You can add less or more its totally depends in you but you cannot skip Ghee. Once in a while this dish is completely fine to eat.

So lets start to make Daal Baati-

INGREDIENTS

For Baatis

▪︎Wheatflour-2 cup
▪︎semolina-1 cup
▪︎carrom seeds-½tspn
▪︎salt-to the taste.
▪︎ghee(clarified butter)-4 tbspn
▪︎baking powder-½tspn
▪︎water- according to needs.

DAL(lentil)

▪︎moongdal-½cup
▪︎chana dal-2tbspn
▪︎masoor dal-2tbspn
▪︎tomatoes-½cup
▪︎onions-½cup
▪︎garlic-2tbspn
▪︎ginger-½tspn
▪︎redchili powder-
▪︎ghee- 1tbspn
▪︎salt-to the taste.
▪︎cumin seeds-½tspn
▪︎redchili powder-½tspn


METHOD

1.In a bowl take wheat flour and semolina.

2.now add carrom seeds and salt.

3.then add baking powder.

4.further add Ghee.

5.mix all ingredients well using your hand , the dough forms clumps when you press with hands, shown in pics. It needs to hold the shape when presed with hand.

6.now add water gradually and form a stiff dough. Keep aside for 10 mins.

7.then divide the dough in 7 to 10 equal parts and shape it like a ball.

8.Make a X mark using a knife shown in the pics.

9.preheat the oven and keep inside the oven.

The second Method is to make baatis in a wide pan. We can put some salt in the base and then place one steel stand on it and place the baatis. Cover and cook for 30 to 40 mins by Fliping by all the sides.

Make sure the baatis are cooked from all the sides and as well from inside.

When its done then take out the baatis. Keep aside.
Now in a bowl add lots of ghee and dip the baati in ghee.for 15 to 20 mins. The authentic taste will come from ghee so dont skip this Method.

Finally baati is Ready!


FOR DAL

1.wash all the dals like Pink dal, green dal, and gram dal

2.wash the dals and put in a pressure cooker along with water. Then add tomatoes.

3.add turmeric powder, salt and pressure cook the dal for 3 whistle.

4.It will look like this as shown in the pics.

5.heat Ghee in a pan.

6.chop ginger and garlic.

7.then chop onions.

8.now add cumin seeds and let it splutter.

9.then add chopped garlic. Saute it for a min.

10.add onions and saute it for 2 mins.

11.add turmeric powder and red chili powder.

12.then add cooked dal to the pan.

13.mix it and cook for 10 mins in low meduim heat.

14.add the ghee Takda for more spicyness. For this I heat a ladle of ghee, redchili powder, asofedita and add little water and immediately put the Ladle into the daal pan.
The tadka is ready.

Finally add coriander leaves.

We can make this baatis in bulk and eat for 1 week.


This is delicacy of Rajasthan Cuisine and Without serving of Daal Baati in weddings, functions, festivals nothing is completed in Rajasthan.
So whenever you visit tonRajasthan do try Authentic Daal Baati Churma.

In Asia, Rajhastani Dishes are very famous. I have taken Daal dish but it was typical desi. There are many restaurants where we can take this dish in Pakistan. I hope, it was better demo for preparation of this dish, I surely will try. Thank you for sharing!
