Proprioception in the Hive blockchain.
¿Would you think there is someone in Hive who actually can brag of having a healthy and functioning proprioception?
«-PROPRIOCEPTION-»
So, what is proprioception?
Proprioception is often called our hidden sixth sense. The cells in our body that sense proprioception are called proprioceptors. These are located in our muscles and joints and they process sensory information when our body moves. The stretch on our muscles and the position changes of our joints that occur when we move is called proprioceptive feedback. This lets our brain know where our arms, legs, and body are at any given moment, which is important for our coordination.
Proprioception is different to touch sensory input. This is because with proprioception the sensory information comes from our muscles and joints, not our skin. This can be a bit tricky to understand at first. The main thing to remember is that proprioceptive feedback comes from special receptors in the muscles and joints which respond to body position and movement. Our touch system, however, responds to anything that touches our skin.
Each time we move the proprioceptive feedback from our muscles and joints tells our brain where our body is. This includes any time we move our legs, hips, knees, ankles, feet, toes, arms, hands, neck or spine. Even when we are still, the stretch of the muscles, or lack of stretch, and the joint position tell our brain where we are.
Finally, our proprioceptive sense helps to support our balance. It again works jointly with our cerebellum and the vestibular sense, which are primarily responsible for balance. Our proprioceptors give our brains even more information about where our body is and this helps with our balance. In summary, proprioception is what allows our limbs to move into the right position, with the right speed and the right amount of force required for any activity.
¿Is the concept clearer now?
Could you imagine where I go with this post? When each one of our movements, actions and goals require unfaltering conscious effort. And every motion no matter how small must be thought, planned, supervised and executed with absolute conscious precision. And above all, what it means teach yourself to dress, eat, walk and live by thinking about each movement with strictly visual supervision of every step every second of your life? Does all of this sounds terrifyingly exhausting for you? Would you be able to do it?
So yeah buddies. Just explore more, investigate more, study more, read more, comment more, interact more and engage more in order to manually and organically "curate" good and meaningful content to actually be able to vote & reblog it consciously.
Because after all and at the end of the day, we are all interacting within a "social" ecosystem. And being an active member in a "social" environment, in a "social" network, in a "social" ecosystem ¿What else could everyone expect from us?
Of course! Everyone in a "social" setting would expect to be surrounded by people with a properly functioning proprioception. People excercising consciously their brains. And perhaps, even more their cerebellum & vestibular system that is the part of the brain affecting balance. Everyone needs to constantly workout their "proprioception", "interoception" and "exteroception" every day nonstop.
Because otherwise you are gonna develop very soon a hemispatial neglect and a hemispherical blindness from which you will never be recovered or cured again in your entire life. So again, who you think that currently can brag of having a healthy and functioning proprioception in the Hive blockchain? Could you name one? two? To a handful of them?
Amen
@amen? Are you sure s/he can brag of having a healthy and functioning proprioception in the Hive blockchain? ಠ.ಠ)
answered more the "because otherwise..."-part. but hey, /shrug\ - Life is singular and doesn't give a shit... so why should i/we?!
Hahaha yeah, you are indeed a cunning dude my friend. Now as for the "because otherwise..."-part. I wonder what you could answer once you've read this new post.
Heh, first time I've heard of proprio... what what. Makes sense though. Interesting. It's like your bodies natural endocannibinoid system also needs to fire off properly in order for the body to function correctly.
Oh yeah, you can bet there is always the imminent need that the scarce natural chemicals and neurotransmitters of certain individuals wandering over here, should fire off properly in order for their bodies to function correctly in a "social network" running on a blockchain.
Lol, wow, that was so we'll said 👏
That's just pure proprioception, you know?
