Here at Pixagram, we are working on the Alpha version of the Pixa blockchain, which will be a fork of Hive. After Hive forked from Steem in 2020, it has gone through some major advancements in recent years, some of which we hope to implement or connect to in Pixa. Here is a summary of key advancements.

VSC Network

The Virtual Smart Chain (VSC) Network is a layer 2 solution on Hive that aims to connect ANY blockchain to ANY other blockchain NATIVELY, while maintaining free and instant transactions. This is done through Hive's resource credit (RC) model, where users deposit Hive Backed Dollars (HBD) to obtain RC. VSC Network's unique Native Asset Mapping protocol allows for sending or swapping tokens natively across any blockchain, through the use of smart contracts, without having to wrap any tokens onto Layer 2.

VSC also includes Liquid HBD Staking, which is a wrapped HBD Savings version of HBD that earns 15% interest from Hive's inflation tokenomics, while still being transferrable in VSC's layer 2. This is a game-changer for the DeFi world!

Again, I can't stress how game-changing this is. The screenshot shows I am holding HBD and Hive using my EVM wallet!

Connecting to VSC will allow Pixa to be interoperable with any blockchain right off the start!

V4V.App: Bridging Bitcoin Lightning and Hive

The V4V.App allows swapping Bitcoin Lightning directly to Hive or HBD, thus opening up any business to the Hive ecosystem, namely to receive stable HBD tokens.

As shown in the video below, any Bitcoin Lightning ATM machine can be used to convert fiat currency through Lightning directly to Hive/HBD, and vice versa. This allows for permissionless movement from fiat to crypto!

This is another advancement on Hive that can expand the Pixa ecosystem .
