Following scientific studies conducted by the Japanese government back in the 1980's this idea of forest breathing was developed and introduced as "shinrin-yoku".

These studies showed that two hours of mindful exploration in the forest had many health benefits. These included things like improved memory and concentration, lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol, and lower blood pressure.

The immune system is even boosted thanks to the trees that release a chemical known as phytoncides that have a protective antimicrobial effect on the human body.

Go visit sum trees today!

Sing to the tune of "Breath" by Pink Floyd

Breeeeeeath, breath in the air
Don't be afraid of bears
Leaves, but don't leaf me
Look around, choose your own sound

Given that I live naked and barefooted in an intentional community in the middle of the jungle, very close to earth and nature, I'd say that I get a lot of forest breathing in every day, and I love it! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
