Even today I will have to hand over for the "summary" of my days of absence, we have done many things and a beautiful post will come out of it, but today I need to focus on another topic.

Yesterday my Dad and I went to get two new cell phones for Him and my Mum... Let's say they finally decided to upgrade!
Last night I also ate a delicious ice cream... But that's another story!
You should know that they owned quite old smartphones that I had given them a few Christmas ago, having now become accustomed to them, this technological update had become necessary.
My mother now spends more time reading news and recipes and doing research on the internet than in front of the TV, also because she has learned to use the apps of the various channels and YouTube and therefore sees her favorite programs whenever she wants without being tied to the television schedules. .
My dad, on the other hand, manages all the bank's apps, has installed cameras in the garden, receives all the bills and email alerts, in short, it is now important for him too to have a smartphone that works discreetly.
Let's be clear, nothing too expensive, we are talking about mid-range objects and in fact I would tend to place them almost in the low range... It must be said that, for the range to which they belong, they are very high-performance; after all, my nerdy skills must be useful for something, right?

I'm not here to tell you about the various vicissitudes of finding these cell phones. Suffice it to say that we had to go around three shops to end up at the furthest shopping center we had available; naturally the bulk of the problems were created by the various incompetent sales assistants even if, in the last shop, I was pleasantly surprised by the availability and preparation of the lady who assisted us in the purchase... It is right to give Cesare what he is of Cesare and in any case no harm done, we accomplished our task despite the difficulties!
In reality, the focus of this post is certainly not intended to be yesterday's shopping day.
If we go even further back, to Monday exactly, a friend who I referred to one of the online jobs that I also do, literally harassed me by keeping me on the phone for an afternoon because he didn't know how to fill out a simple registration "form"...let's talk name, surname and email!
Once he managed to sign up he needed support to make a simple prepaid card, we're talking about Revolut so really nothing complicated; it's useless to stand here and say that in the following days he tortured me and practically almost wanted me to do the online interview and the test for the job proposed to him in his place.
Let's be clear, we are talking about an interview in which the employer copies and pastes pre-packaged messages for all users and a test which is just a formality and which in the end even the stupidest people overcome!
Naturally the problem in the test however is that he doesn't know how to use the PC, he doesn't know how to make a "print" of the screen or how to send an attachment on Skype.
We're talking about a peer of mine and, if you think that my parents are computer geniuses compared to him, you'll have a clear picture of the situation.
Hence the origin of the title of this post.
As said and written several times, I consider myself a super Nerd, I love technology and IT, I study them and delve into them but obviously I don't expect everyone to know how to use new technologies in an advanced way like I do (just as I don't expect know all the characters of Naruto, One Piece or Shaman King, also because there we go to the second level Supernerd eh eh!)... But mess around at least a little, it is essential to know how to use them, otherwise you find yourself out of the World!
This was understood by my Father who turned 76 four days ago and a person we could define as young, or at least relatively young, doesn't understand it... Certainly younger than my Dad!
Then the reasons for approaching new technologies can be various, for example my father was convinced to use phone apps when he realized that he could save 5 euros on the telephone bill by having everything sent via email and not in paper form.
And to be honest, economic motivations are the ones that, in every situation, give the greatest push, lol!
In the end I still have to find out if this friend of mine managed to pass the test, it must also be said that the job consists of answering messages so not even being a dragon in writing I imagine he will have had a lot of difficulties.
I must confess to you that in situations like these I greatly revalue my person, my knowledge and my culture; I feel eternally ignorant and I know I don't know but compared to many, in reality, the things I know are really many!

Anche oggi dovrò passare la mano per il "riassuntazzo" dei miei giorni di assenza, abbiamo fatto tante cose e ne verrà fuori un post bellissimo, in data odierna però ho necessità di soffermarmi su un altro argomento.
Ti prometto che presto pubblicherò tutto quello che ho di arretrato, al costo di scrivere due post al giorno!😉
Ieri con il mio Papà siamo andati a prendere due cellulari nuovi per Lui e la mia Mamma... Diciamo che finalmente hanno deciso di fare un Upgrade!
Ieri sera ho anche mangiato un buonissimo gelato... Ma questa è un'altra storia!
Devi sapere che possedevano degli smartphone abbastanza datati che gli avevo regalato qualche Natale fa, essendosi ormai impratichiti, questo aggiornamento tecnologico era diventato necessario.
La mia Mamma ormai passa più tempo a leggere notizie e ricette e a fare ricerche per la rete che davanti la TV, anche perché ha imparato a utilizzare le app dei vari canali e Youtube pertanto vede i suoi programmi preferiti quando vuole senza essere legata ai palinsesti televisivi.
Il mio Papà invece gestisce tutte le app della banca, ha installato le telecamere in giardino, riceve tutte le bollette e gli avvisi sulla mail, insomma anche per lui ormai è importante avere uno smartphone che funzioni discretamente.
Intendiamoci, nulla di troppo costoso, parliamo di oggetti di fascia media e anzi tendenzialmente li inserirei quasi in fascia bassa... C'è da dire che, per la fascia alla quale appartengono, sono molto prestanti; d'altronde le mie competenze nerd a qualcosa dovranno pur servire, no?

Non sto qui a raccontarti le varie vicissitudini per trovare questi cellulari, Ti basti sapere che abbiamo dovuto girare tre negozi per finire al centro commerciale più distante che avessimo a disposizione; naturalmente il grosso delle problematiche ci è stato creato dai vari commessi incompetenti anche se, nell'ultimo negozio, sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso dalla disponibilità e dalla preparazione della signora che ci ha seguito nell'acquisto... È giusto dare a Cesare ciò che è di Cesare e comunque poco male, abbiamo assolto il nostro compito nonostante le difficoltà!
In realtà il fulcro di questo post non vuole essere certamente la giornata di shopping di ieri.
Se andiamo ancora più indietro, esattamente a lunedì, un amico che ho indirizzato a uno dei lavoretti online che anche io faccio, mi ha letteralmente tartassato tenendomi un pomeriggio al telefono perché non sapeva come compilare un semplice "form" di iscrizione...parliamo di nome, cognome e mail!
Una volta riuscito a iscriversi ha avuto necessità di supporto per fare una semplice carta prepagata, parliamo di Revolut quindi davvero nulla di complicato; inutile stare qui a dire che nei giorni successivi mi ha torturato e praticamente voleva quasi che facessi il colloquio online e la prova per il lavoro propostogli al posto suo.
Intendiamoci parliamo di un colloquio in cui il datore di lavoro copia e incolla messaggi preconfezionati per tutti gli utenti e di una prova che è solo una formalità e che alla fine superano anche i più stupidi!
Naturalmente il problema nella prova però è che lui non sa usare il PC, non sa come fare uno "stamp" dello schermo o come inviare un allegato su Skype.
Parliamo di un mio coetaneo e, se pensi che i miei genitori in confronto a lui sono dei geni dell'informatica, avrai un quadro della situazione ben definito.
Da qui l'origine del titolo di questo post.
Come detto e scritto più volte io mi ritengo un super Nerd, adoro la tecnologia e l'informatica, le studio e le approfondisco ma ovviamente non pretendo che tutti sappiano utilizzare le nuove tecnologia in maniera avanzata come faccio io (così come non pretendo che si conoscano tutti i personaggi di Naruto, One Piece o Shaman King, anche perché lì andiamo sul Supernerd di secondo livello eh eh!)... Però cazzarola almeno un minimo è fondamentale saperle utilizzare, altrimenti ti trovi fuori dal Mondo!
Questa cosa l'ha capita mio Padre che ha compiuto 76 anni quattro giorni fa e non la capisce una persona che potremmo definire giovane, o quanto meno relativamente giovane... Sicuramente più giovane del mio Papà!
Che poi le motivazioni per approcciarti alle nuove tecnologie possono essere varie, mio Padre ad esempio si è convinto a utilizzare le app del telefono quando ha capito che poteva risparmiare 5 euro sulla bolletta telefonica facendosi inviare tutto sulla mail e non in forma cartacea.
E a essere sinceri le motivazioni economiche sono quelle che, in ogni situazione, danno maggior spinta, lol!
Alla fine devo ancora scoprire se questo mio amico è riuscito a superare la prova, c'è anche da dire che il lavoro consiste nel rispondere a dei messaggi quindi non essendo nemmeno un drago nella scrittura immagino che avrà avuto molte difficoltà.
Devo confessarti che in situazioni come queste rivaluto molto la mia persona, le mie conoscenze e la mia cultura; mi sento un eterno ignorante e so di non sapere però a confronto di molti, in realtà, le cose che conosco sono davvero tante!
Bene, con questa botta di autostima credo di poter terminare per oggi.
