Saludos amigos y compañeros de #Linux y en especial saludos a la comunidad #Linux&SoftwareLibre en #hive, bienvenidos nuevamente a un nuevo post de #ViernesDeEscritorio.
Como siempre presento mi escritorio que es el de Linux Mint 21.2 “Victoria” con Cinnamon en su edición de escritorio, y además quiero hablarles de Gimp, para mí uno de los mejores software de edición de imágenes.
¿Qué es Gimp?
Gimp, es un software libre, de edición de imágenes, las siglas (GIMP) significa “Programa general para manipulación de imágenes”, el programa nace en el año 1995 y en 1997 pasa a ser parte del proyecto GNU y está en casi todos los sistemas operativos de Linux.
También es un programa multiplataforma, que puede ser usado en Linux, Mac y Windows.
Gimp, tiene muchas características y funciones, y de igual modo, acepta casi todos los formatos, inclusive la mayoría de los archivos .PSD de Photoshop y posee su propio formato de almecenamiento abierto, llamado .XFC.

¿Cómo instalar Gimp?
Gimp, puede ser instalado desde Flatpack, a través de su tienda Flathub, al igual que puede instalarse a través de la paquetería de Snap y su tienda.
También lo puedes bajar desde su página oficial y desde la página de Gimp en español.
Pero, en algunos Sistemas Operativos de #Linux, ya Gimp, viene instalado como software determinado.

¿Cómo usar la aplicación?
La aplicación es muy sencilla y amigable para usar, además tiene una gran de cursos y tutoriales gratuitos, tanto escritos como en videos.
Otro de los puntos interesantes de Gimp, es que tiene muchos plugin que se pueden colocar, lo que nos permite colocar fuentes, pinceles, temas y mucho más, en un programa libre y gratuito.
En lo personal tengo muchos años usándolo y de hecho esta imagen la realicé para la realización de este post. Recomiendo el programa ampliamente.

As always I present my desktop which is the Linux Mint 21.2 "Victoria" with Cinnamon in its desktop edition, and I also want to tell you about Gimp, for me one of the best image editing software.
What is Gimp?
Gimp, is a free, image editing software, the acronym (GIMP) means "General program for image manipulation”, the program was born in 1995 and in 1997 became part of the GNU project and is in almost all Linux operating systems.

How to install Gimp?
