Some questioned whether Sarah McLachlan's voice would match the Dutch DJ's fast bpm. The answer is obvious. A powerful remix fell in love with two generations of ravers who enjoyed their first party, first kiss and spent their first salary on vodka, to the rhythm of an ode to elegant trance.

Tiësto's summer 2000 track rocked Ibiza and became the first house remix played on North American daytime radio, reaching the Top 10 in the UK for four weeks.

Over time, he dispensed with the DJ prefix and adopted only the name Tiësto. The remix is timeless and still makes an impact on the dance floor today. The 'Silence' remix and all of Tiësto's songs have something in common: an uplifting effect that we all need right now.
