"Operation Blade is a hard trance song by Scottish electronic band Public Domain, written and produced by three members of the band, Mark Sherry, Alistair MacIsaac and James Allen. It is a remix of New Order's "Confusion" from the film 1998 superhero horror Blade, from which the song's title is derived. "Operation Blade" is also a play based on the 1982 science fiction film "Blade Runner."

The song was released as a debut single from Public Domain on 20 November 2000. On 26 November it peaked at number five on the UK Singles Chart, staying there for one week. Between December 2000 and early 2001, the song reached the top ten in Australia, Austria, Germany and Norway. It was also a huge hit, with British publication NME calling it "unconditional brilliance." In April 2001, he appeared on Public Domain's solo studio album Hard Hop Superstars.
