Hoy volví con mis alumnos a desarmar otro osciloscopio. Este un poco mas moderno y ronda por los años 1970. Su marca Paco modelo S-55. Paco Electronic Co. Inc. Glendale, L.I., N.Y., USA.
A diferencia del que se desarmo anteriormente Desarmando un osciloscopio del año 1949 [esp-eng] Disassembling an oscilloscope from 1949, este cuenta con plaqueta donde se montaron los zócalos de algunas válvulas entre otros componentes.

Happy Thursday to everyone, I hope you're doing well.
Today, my students and I disassembled another oscilloscope. This one is a bit more modern and dates back to around the 1970s. It's a Paco S-55 model, made by Paco Electronic Co. Inc., Glendale, L.I., N.Y., USA.
Unlike the one we previously disassembled Disassembling an oscilloscope from 1949 [esp-eng], this one has a circuit board where the sockets for some of the vacuum tubes, among other components, are mounted.

Acá se puede ver bien la pantalla de tubo mide como 450mm de largo.
Este osciloscopio también cuenta con un chasis pero la mayoría de los componentes se montan en plaquetas, distribuidas en diferentes puntos estratégicos del chasis.

This oscilloscope also has a chassis, but most of the components are mounted on circuit boards, distributed at various strategic points on the chassis.

Los condensadores tienen un 20% de tolerancia.

La particularidad de esta plaqueta es que se soldaron los zócalos para poder anclar las válvulas.

![English]The uniqueness of this circuit board is that the sockets were soldered to anchor the vacuum tubes.

El transformador no se veía muy bien.

El diseño de la plaqueta era bastante simple.

Tenía resistencias de potencia.

![English]It had power resistors.

Estos condensadores eran bastante robustos en su forma física.

Aquí se puede apreciar el porcentaje de un condensador.

En esta foto se puede apreciar los zócalos soldados en la plaqueta

Como se ve en la plaqueta las resistencias tienen un 10% de tolerancia y algunos condensadores tienen hasta 20% de tolerancia.

Fue bastante interesante descubrir sobre la historia de estos componentes y sus orígenes. Y a la vez, como fue el avance tecnológico.Podría decirse que fue una experiencia enriquecedora para mis alumnos y para mi también.
