Studying Messier (7) and (5)๐ŸŒŒ/ Estudiando Messier 7 y 5๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ“š

When we study the Messiers we have to travel back to the 18th century because many of them were discovered at this point, however Messier 7 is much older than is believed and it is because it was first described by the brilliant astronomer Ptolemy, being the first person to make mention was baptized as (CUMULUS OF PTOLOMEUS). What do you think if we learn a little more about these star clusters?๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŒŒ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป

๐ŸŒ๐Ÿช๐ŸŒŒ๐Ÿง

It is obvious that I cannot compete with photos from NASA since I do not have their resources, but after a few editions and several photos I managed to obtain an acceptable result on Messier 7, in the year "130 Ptolemy I managed to observe in the tail of the scorpion a cluster of stars that he identified in his famous work Almagest" therefore ends up being the first "Messier object that had been recorded in antiquity" later the astronomer Halley included it in his work in the year 1678"; this cluster๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿง”
๐ŸŒŒ๐Ÿง ๐ŸŒ

Here we see an enlarged view of approximately 20x where I managed to make a montage based on the locations here in the northern hemisphere of messier 7 and messier 5 to identify them in the sky I used my "Sky Map" program that tells me in real time where do I have to look if I want to get an object in space! After locating the Messiers, I took this black and white photograph and we can beautifully see Messier 7 being a large cluster of stars, firstly it is called (open cluster) because the stars formed very recently and are scattered, the opposite of a globular cluster. Inside there are a total of "80 stars" and they all have different brightnesses and temperatures so we say that they have different magnitudes!๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ
๐ŸŒŒ๐Ÿช๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป

Here we see a very close photo of individual stars within Messier 7 you can see that they have different colors and magnitudes, some are smaller others are brighter, it is believed that Messier 7 is approximately between "800-1000 light years from our planet", in the sky has an area of between "18-25 light years, it is believed that they were born 220 million years ago" so that we have an idea after the appearance of the dinosaurs, the stars have a "different evolution among themselves despite having formed in the same moment", and they "approach our planet at a tremendous speed" "14 kilometers per second," as the latest data the star that shines the most in messier 7 is a "yellow giant".๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป
๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ™‡โ€โ™‚๏ธ

I recently discovered a spot about 25km from my house and as you can see on the Nightearth Lime Pollution Map it is a good area for deep object observing! Normally the Messiers many of them are very easy to photograph because you can see them with the naked eye and you don't need to use very low lenses, some photos were taken with the telescope adapter and my phone in MANUAL mode.๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ™‡โ€โ™‚๏ธ

Globular Cluster M5๐Ÿง ๐ŸŒŒ/ Cumulo Globular M5๐Ÿ™‡โ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ“š

For astronomers this cluster of stars is one of the most interesting first because it is one of the oldest in the galaxy and also the one that occupies the largest size in the sky, it was discovered in 1702 by the "astronomer Kirch", it was easily confused by a nebula and I understand from its dense appearance, its age is estimated to be between "13 billion years", it has many "variable stars and with a good telescope we could see a dwarf nova within the cluster", within this cluster "it is estimated that there are more than 500,000 stars" and is located about "24,500 light years from Earth", its size is "165 light years". Finally my telescio is not strong enough to see your stars individually!๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป

๐Ÿค”๐ŸŒŒ๐Ÿช

Obviously, your pictures cannot compete with the NASA ones. However, it is not fair to do this comparison at all. As you mentioned, the resources used are very different. The goals are also different. What you managed to achieve with your material is amazing, and very satisfactory in my opinion.

Cheers!
