Tengo varios trucos para identificar aves, acostumbro a ver el pico, las patas, muchas aves acuaticas tienen algunos cambios morfologicos en sus picos y patas esto nos ayuda mas rapido a identificarlas, vemos los colores en las plumas, tengo la capacidad con mi experiencia de identificarlas con el sonido, canto! la marea juega un papel crucial en la alimentacion de aves acuaticas, cuando la marea baja se depositan muchos moluscos, y es cuando muchas aves aprovechan en alimentarse! 🌊🌊

Aveces caemos en el error de confundir una especie por que tienen colores diferentes en sus plumas! en las aves existe algo llamado dimorfismo sexual, esto significa que el macho y la hembra tienen coloracion diferentes, como por ejemplo esta especie que fotografie (Anas platyrhynchos) el macho es mas colorido que la hembra, este ejemplar es una hembra! tambien debemos tener mucho cuidado con el plumaje juvenil, en las aves el plumaje juvenil no ha desarrollado los colores del adulto y nos podemos confundir aqui vamos a los libros y referencia para diferenciar un adulto de un juvenil!💛💚💙

Hola. Tengo una curiosidad sobre las aves. Hace algunos años observé a un ave (supuestamente volando en el cielo) a pocos metros de altura. Digo "supuestamente" porque el ave no movía sus alas para volar, ni tampoco estaba de caída o apunto de aterrizar, sino simplemente estaba quieto con las alas extendidas "tal cual" en el aire a manera de un cuadro. Y eso que me quedé mirándolo un buen tiempo (5 minutos aprox) para ver si en algún momento movía sus alas. Me pregunto ¿si eso es posible?.

Hola hola! Muy buena observación,no solo es "posible" sucede! La tierra crea corrientes de aire que son aprovechadas por las aves, seguramente viste un carroñero ellos se introducen en la corriente de aire y básicamente no necesitan volar, la corriente los eleva, cuando esa corriente desaparece buscan rápidamente otra! Pueden hacer eso por horas! Lo hacen para evitar desperdiciar gastar energia batiendo las alas! Algunas aves de carroña pueden pasar dias sin comer volar de esa manera significa ahorrar energia valiosa para vivir! Gracias por leer el post y opinar!
