family planning innovation

Innovation also know as change is one thing that is constant in life. They way things were done years ago aren't how it been done now in the 20th century ( as in the Gen Z).
For example in the health care system, the reproductive health in particular, where by many decades ago there was nothing like condoms, some methods of family planning methods hasn't come in place. Cases where they use rags, concoction and some harmful practices as a medium of family planning which exposes the woman to a lot of hazards which increases the mortality and morbidity rate among women within the reproductive age due to poor health management and the women not having the sole right to family planning without the consent if their husbands . But presently in our health system we have a lot of safe and legit ways of family planning ranging from those with little to no after effect though solely depending on the body system which include the calendar method, the temperature method, cervical mucus method which are all under the natural method of family planning and we have the pills, IUCD, Implants which are under the mechanical method and all those are possible due to innovation.

Infant mortality and morbidity was also high because a lot of procedure exposes the new born to disease which some of those methods include using of bamboo tree to cut the umbilical cord thus introducing infection into the newborn system thereby putting it at risk of mortality and morbidity. But due to innovation we happen to have what we call umbilical cord scissors which is usually used to cut the umbilical cord without introducing some germs and viruses into the Infan't blood stream, not just that, these instrument are being sterilized to prevent cross infection which is one of the benefit of innovation.

In the olden days, a lot of women die due to postpartum hemorrhage ( bleeding after childbirth) which is one of the contributing factors to morbidity and mortality due to poor management. Now in this recent decades, there are procedures, drugs and skills used in the management of postpartum haemorrhage hence reducing the rate of maternal dealth.which was made possible due to innovation.

We go into the aspect of transportation, back in the days people spend months in water, just to travel from one country to another which we do presently within few hours because change has taken place. We now make uses of Airplane, private jets, flying boats only to mention but a few.

If I should have the opportunity to create something, it will be something beneficial to the health sector. I will love to build a diagnostic machine that will help the doctors and nurses diagnose an ailment. If such a machine should come into use,it will help reduce mortality and morbidity rate because that time we use independently to test for one thing or the other, the machine must have done a full body check thereby saving time and increasing the patients chances of survival. It will also enable the health sector k ow the specific measure to take in specific case instead of trial thereby reducing the work load to the patient system .

My kid sister happen to be sick last month,I wasn't around only for me to call home and was told she was terribly sick exactly two weeks she was treated for cold. Upon Blood examination, it was discover she had hepatitis. Assuming that we had such machine in the health care sector, it would have been discovered that she wasn't only suffering from cold but also hepatitis.

And my advice to everyone out there is that we should embrace innovation because it's through it that we can have a positive outcome and a better tomorrow.
