We can do better

There is a version of our lives that the public knows and there is this other version that is not known, at times we tend to keep it secret for some reasons best known to us. But the big question is , who are you when no one is watching ?
People sees how we behave when in public or when we know that eyes are watching. They see the smiles, the kindness, the discipline behavior, the generosity, the confidence and sometimes the humility. But what happens when no one is watching, when the room is empty, when we are behind close doors ?
That's what truly matters, I try as much as possible to do good in all circumference, I tell those who work around me, do what is right forget who is watching or who is not, at times you might not even get the thank you or praises, the applause might not come, but be yourself follow the golden rules because that's what really matters, if we want to make the world a better place.
At times we see people in authority, taking advantage of the other because of the position that they are opptuned to handle. The question is , can you proudly stand out in public and tell them that you have taken advantage of them or you only do that in secret and try to be nice with a sugar coated tongue in public. Which is why I will always love the "Rotary 4 way test" asking;
* Is it the truth ?
* Is it fair to all concerned
* Will it build goodwill and better friendship ?
* Will it be beneficial to all concerned ?
Answer these questions within yourself , ask yourself, my dealing with people, and when I am alone does it follow the four way test ? If it doesn't let's all make amends and not behave like a carmelion just changing colours just to fit in. It might be for safety reasons at times but let's do better.
