I'm excited about what DAOs can offer too, and whilst I think it's a stretch that we will see DAOs taking over government roles like defence, I believe there are true opportunities to rid the world of corporate inefficiencies.
I'm sure many people have been in organisations where more time is spent navigating the politics than just getting the work done. DAOs can fix this to some extent, but how to overcome manipulation with a few well resourced actors? I am sure there are ways to manage this risk, but it's not clear to me yet what the solution is?

I think DAO's can overcome well resourced bad actors if they are designed in such a way from the start. Stake weighted DOA's a side, there will be one person one vote systems where influence by individuals can be capped and hard coded into the smart contract.
