He sleep so good... Are cats dreamers or daydreamers?
I always ask to myself when I stare to my cats sleeping if they dreaming or not, what they dream?
We surely can not be sure if they dream or not because unfortunately they can't tell us what they dream or not, they don't have the gift if speaking, that's a big shame I know, I bet if they can speak they will be really funny and interesting, maybe cynical and intellectual.
By the way some studues observed cats when they sleep and recognize that during the rem phase they move their bodies so maybe they dream about something. And I also ask myself if they are able to daydreaming, because I see my cat staring nothing for very long minutes or hours, such cool thing and ask myself, what the hell he think? He look so concentrate!! What do you think they dream or not?
Cats sleep 20 hours out of 24 a day, so if they dream, they live practically during their dreams, but I don't think they dream, dreams are the compilation of what have lived, they sleep and sleep, so they would only dream whit their food, it is my humble opinion
In my own view I think if cat do dream, that means they do a lot in their dream mostly
I once read a study claiming that cats have dreams. But most likely these are dreams about what they saw in their lives. My cats sometimes twitch and talk in their sleep. It looks funny, she seems to be running or asking for food in her dreams.
