TPU opportunities and experiences [ENG-ESP]
Greetings friends of the 3D printing community, it is a real pleasure to be posting again here and I hope that those of us who remain also encourage us to share our work, experiences and new acquisitions regarding this incredible world of makers. For my part today I want to share with you a little of my first experiences using flexible and also an anecdote of a job I did.

Por mi parte hoy quiero compartirles un poco de mis primeras experiencias utilizando flexible y a su vez una anécdota de un trabajo que tome.
To begin with these pictures are old, almost 2 years ago was the first time I printed with flexible material because in college we had to do a paper focused on prosthetics and the flexibility of this material allowed many possibilities. I saw a great business opportunity so I bought flexible and that same weekend I started testing and experimenting to achieve the best results, it was very frustrating, it took me time, but I did it, we were more than 30 people in that class and I was one of the few suppliers of flexible printing so I got a good money, plus they had a direct contact with me to ask me specific questions.

Vi una gran oportunidad de negocio así que compre flexible y ese mismo fin de semana me puse a hace pruebas y experimentar para lograr los mejores resultados, fue muy frustrante, me llevo tiempo, pero lo logre, éramos más de 30 personas en esa clase y yo era uno de los pocos proveedores de impresión flexible así que saque un buen dinero, sumado a que tenían un contacto directo conmigo para hacerme preguntas concretas.

On the other hand a friend asked me to print this complex piece that you are seeing, in general the flex tends to leak so it is difficult to control 100% the threads that remain in the prints (I have improved it a lot) but in that occasion those small threads that you see in the image were left applying a little heat I could solve it but my friend a few days before the final delivery sent to print to another supplier her piece taking a disastrous result since this person printed it with a flex of another brand which had different mechanical characteristics added to a strange cyan color that had not taken into account and let alone the final quality of the print, because he went to a supplier he didn't know, he got a very bad result just before the final delivery. Luckily this did not affect her project that much, but it did lead her to make other hasty decisions to make everything fit the idea she had proposed.
Por otro lado una amiga me pidió imprimir esta pieza compleja que están viendo, en general el flex tiende a gotear así que es difícil controlar al 100% los hilos que quedan en las impresiones (Actualmente lo he mejorado bastante) pero en esa ocasión quedaron esos pequeños hilos que ven en la imagen aplicándole un poco de calor lo pude solucionar pero mi amiga unos días antes de la entrega final mando a imprimir a otro proveedor su pieza llevándose un resultado desastroso ya que esta persona lo imprimió con un flexible de otra marca la cual tenía diferentes características mecánicas sumado a un color cian extraño que no había tenido en cuenta y ni hablemos de la calidad final de la impresión, por el hecho de ir a un proveedor que no conocía se llevó un resultado muy malo justo poco antes de la entrega final. Por suerte eso no afecto tanto su proyecto, pero si la llevo a tener que tomar otras decisiones apresuradas para que todo cuadrara con la idea que ella proponía.

These prints are very cool.
I've never tried TPU but I'm thinking about trying it soon. PLA melts too easy and seems to have a more limited use.

PLA is like the wild card, it works for everything but it doesn't work well for everything and although TPU has its science and technique behind it is very useful for specific things, the last thing I made were some protective covers for some field equipment for my work so my partner stops breaking them every time he drops them hahaha
