Pla Art- Due/ Mates impresos en 3D/ Pla Art- Due/ 3D Printed Mates
Hola querida comunidad soy Nitsu y hace una semana aproximadamente me pidieron imprimir una mate con un patrón muy interesante, son como pequeños diamantes que generan una estructura muy interesante y agradable al tacto. Vi la oportunidad de aplicar el PLA Art-Due que había obtenido hace algunos meses, este material es PLA común, pero con la característica de contar con dos colores lo que significa que al imprimir obtendremos una degradé, en este caso, de azul y plateado.
Hello dear community I am Nitsu and about a week ago I was asked to print a matte with a very interesting pattern, they are like small diamonds that generate a very interesting structure and pleasant to the touch. I saw the opportunity to apply the PLA Art-Due that I had obtained some months ago, this material is common PLA, but with the characteristic of having two colors which means that when printing we will get a gradient, in this case, blue and silver.

Tarde mucho en conseguir el STL (Archivo de impresión) pero luego de preguntar a muchos amigos y compañeros de impresión 3D logre obtenerlo. Coloque el archivo en el laminador que es el programa para configurar la impresión, modifique algunos parámetros para que el complicado patrón saliera lo mejor posible, guarde el archivo en la tarjeta SD y fui a la máquina para imprimirlo
It took me a long time to get the STL (print file) but after asking many friends and 3D printing partners I managed to get it. I put the file in the laminator which is the program to configure the print, I modified some parameters so that the complicated pattern came out as good as possible, saved the file in the SD card and went to the machine to print it.

Actualmente cuento con dos máquinas, pero para este tipo de trabajos utilizo la nueva, una Ender 3 que es muy confiable. La otra máquina que tengo es más casera y a veces no es tan exacta con ciertos detalles. Abrí el paquete de PLA Art-Due y lo puse en la máquina, purgue el material anterior y mande a imprimir el archivo.
I currently have two machines, but for this type of work I use the new one, an Ender 3, which is very reliable. The other machine I have is more homemade and sometimes it is not so accurate with certain details. La impresión del mate tardaba unas 10 horas si mal no recuerdo, así que a lo largo del día iba observando cómo iba el trabajo ya que no quería que haya ningún fallo y si en algún momento notara algún error estaba a tiempo de parar el trabajo para no perder material. Este material por sus características es bastante caro, normalmente el rollo de PLA que es el insumo para imprimir cuesta unos $7 dólares el kilo, pero esta cuesta $7 dólares los 250g esto quiere decir que el kilo saldría $28 dólares así que no podía darme el lujo de perder material.

Posteriormente cuando el archivo finalizo en imprimirse probe colocar el polímero negro y entraba perfectamente, este polímero sirve como contenedor del agua caliente y la yerba debido a que el PLA no soporta altas temperaturas además de que no está recomendado para uso alimenticio, realmente no habría problema porque este tipo de plástico está fabricado con maíz y derivados del petróleo, pero por el sistema productivo no está bien usarlo para este fin.
Later, when the file was finished printing, try placing the black polymer and it fit perfectly, this polymer serves as a container for hot water and yerba mate because PLA does not support high temperatures and it is not recommended for food use, actually there would be no problem because this type of plastic is made from corn and petroleum derivatives, but because of the production system it is not right to use it for this purpose.
Procedí a pegar el polímero negro para que quede fijo y no entre agua entre el material y el polímero y ya tenía el mate terminado. Saque varias fotos para poder subirlas a mi cuenta comercial de Instagram y ver si logro vender otros mates con este estilo.
I proceeded to glue the black polymer so that it would be fixed and no water would get between the material and the polymer and I had the matte finished. I took several photos to upload them to my Instagram account and see if I can sell other gourds with this style

Me encanto el degrade que se formó con este material, por más que hiciera miles de mates ninguno sería igual al otro, además la experiencia con este tipo de plástico me sirve para tener en cuenta para futuros proyectos.
I loved the degradation that was formed with this material, even if I made thousands of mattes none would be equal to the other, also the experience with this type of plastic helps me to keep in mind for future projects.
