Welcome to my post once again, I'm Nitsu and as is almost customary I come to share an improvement I have made to my PC, I know that at the time I promised not to spend again on things for my computer, but this expense was almost mandatory because the source I had burned and I had no choice but to buy a new and better for this not to happen again, so without further ado I will tell you what were the events that led me to this moment.

Bienvenidos a mi post una vez más, soy Nitsu y como ya casi es costumbre vengo a compartir una mejora que le he hecho a mi PC, se que en su momento prometí no volver a gastar en cosas para mi computadora, pero este gasto fue prácticamente obligatorio ya que la fuente que tenia se quemo y no me quedo otra opción que comprar una nueva y mejor para que esto no vuelva a suceder, así que sin más vueltas les contare cuales fueron los sucesos que me llevaron a este momento.
A little over a year ago I started buying the components for my new PC, the one I am currently using, I started buying the graphics card, the power supply and some coolers to keep the cabinet cool and free of dust. A few weeks ago the screen of my PC started to flicker and not give good image, everything was extremely fast, as soon as I saw that I looked at my cabinet to notice that a lot of smoke came out of the back, white smoke that smelled horrible. I am not going to exaggerate and I am going to tell you how it happened so we can both laugh at this moment (clearly at that moment I could not laugh even a little).
Hace un poco más de un año yo comencé a comprar los componentes para mi nueva PC, la que estoy utilizando actualmente, empecé comprando la tarjeta gráfica, la fuente y unos coolers para mantener el gabinete fresco y libre de polvo. Hace algunas semanas atrás la pantalla de mi PC comenzó a titilar y no dar buena imagen, todo fue sumamente rápido, apenas vi eso miré mi gabinete para notar que salió muchísimo humo de la parte trasera, humo blanco que olía horriblemente mal. No voy a exagerar y se los voy a contar tal cual paso así ambos podemos reírnos de este momento (Claramente que en ese instante no podía reírme ni un poco)

In my mind I already imagined that there would be a flame inside, but luckily there was only a lot of smoke, I removed the tempered glass to access the area of the accident, at all this, I thought that my graphics card had burned, so I had my heart almost stopped, but after using my olfactory skills I noticed that the smoke was coming from the power supply so instantly I was much calmer.
Vi el humo salir, me levanté rápidamente diciendo: -Oh por Dios no no no!!! Desconecte la PC de la alimentación eléctrica y saque mi gabinete a un espacio donde pudiera ver mejor que había sucedido. En mi mente ya me imaginaba que habría una llama adentro, pero por suerte solo había mucho humo, retire el vidrio templado para acceder a la zona del accidente, a todo esto, yo pensaba que se había quemado mi tarjeta gráfica, así que tenía el corazón casi detenido, pero tras usar mis habilidades olfativas note que el humo salía de la fuente de alimentación así que instantáneamente me quede mucho más tranquilo.

I tried to remove the power supply and open it and sure enough, one of the capacitors had blown causing this big scare. It was not something I expected to happen and it had just happened to me in dates of courses and deliveries so I had to find a way to fix it fast. The power supply that burned was an Aureox 650w 80plus bronze, a very good power supply that ended up dying anyway. Here began my doubts, what had happened? And after thinking that it had been a strong power surge in my neighborhood I ended up realizing that it had been a mistake on the part of the people who had advised me to build the PC.

La fuente que se me quemo era una Aureox de 650w 80plus bronce una muy buena fuente que de todas formas termino muriendo. Aquí comenzaron mis dudas ¿Qué había sucedido? Y tras pensar que había sido una fuerte subida de la tensión eléctrica por mi barrio termine por darme cuenta que había sido un error por parte de la gente que me había asesorado para armar la PC.

As a colorful fact I tell you that I had bought this power supply a year ago, so I said: -Ok, maybe it is still under warranty? To my bad luck the warranty had expired 3 days ago, so literally one year and 3 days after the purchase of my wonderful power supply it had blown and I had no chance to claim anywhere.

So I looked at how I could solve this in the fastest way possible since I needed to have my computer working again to continue with my tasks, I found out and they recommended me to buy a Corsair power supply, to be more exact the cv750 80plus bronze, with this new power supply I should not worry about lack of voltage in my components or voltage surges or dips. I started to find out its price and where I could get it. To give you an idea all this happened to me on election dates which in Argentina means increases, shortages of products and a lot of speculation, but luckily I got a power supply at $120 thousand Argentinean pesos, quite expensive for that moment, but I had already seen a huge increase from other suppliers so I did not hesitate and bought it.
Así que me fije como podía resolver esto de la forma más rápida posible ya que necesitaba tener de nuevo mi computado funcionando para continuar con mis tareas, averigüe y me recomendaron comprar una fuente de Corsair, para ser más exactos la cv750 80plus bronce, con esta nueva fuente no debería preocuparte por falta de voltaje en mis componentes ni por las subidas o bajadas de tensión. Me puse a averiguar su precio y donde podría conseguirla. Para que se den una idea todo esto me sucedió en fechas de elecciones lo cual qui en Argentina significan aumentos, faltantes de productos y mucha especulación, pero por suerte conseguí una fuente a $120 mil pesos argentinos bastante caro para ese momento, pero ya había observado un aumento enorme por parte de otros proveedores así que no dude y lo compre.
I got the box, I opened it and everything seemed to be correct so I started to arrange the cables inside my cabinet and make the connections, but after I finished connecting everything correctly to the PC it still did not turn on, at that moment my fears came back to me, was it only the power supply that was ruined or some other component was damaged? When I turned on the Bios, I got the beep code that nobody ever, EVER wants to hear and it was a graphics error. I prayed to all the saints, Nordic gods and Olympus that the graphic that I had worked so hard to get was not damaged, I even opened my graphic to see if it had any detail, but it was perfect. So after investigating I realized that this source comes with a different PCIe input, since my source only needs to have 6 inputs connected and not the two extra ones you see in the picture, so I disconnected those two and my machine started working again.
Me llego la caja, la abrí y parecía estar todo correcto así que produce a acomodarlos cables dentro de mi gabinete y hacer las conexiones, pero luego de terminar de conectar todo de forma correcta a la PC aún seguía sin encender, en ese momento volvieron a entrar los miedos ¿Se había arruinado solo la fuente o acaso algún otro componente se dañó? La Bios al encender me tiraba el código de pitido que jamás, JAMAS nadie quiere ori y era error de grafica. Le recé a todos los santos, dioses nórdicos y del olimpo que no se haya dañado la grafica que tanto me había costado conseguir, llegue hasta abrir mi grafica para ver si tenía algún detalle, pero estaba perfecta. Así que tras investigar me di cuenta que esta fuente viene con la entrada PCIe diferente, ya que mi fuente solo necesita tener 6 entradas conectadas y no las dos extras que ven en la imagen, así que desconecte esas dos y mi maquina arranco a funcionar nuevamente.

It was a great relief, it was a very stressful 3 days but I was able to solve it on my own and despite having spent a lot of money I was able to resume my daily activities and fulfill my obligations.
Fue un gran alivio, fueron unos 3 días muy estresantes pero que pude terminar resolviendo por mi cuenta y a pesar de haber gastado un dineral pude retomar mis actividades diarias y cumplir con mis obligaciones.

AJAJAJAJJAJA tu comentario me hizo reír mucho, te lo juro, todo lo que aprendí respecto a PC fue medio prueba y error. Curiosamente nuca he tenido un error grave en este ámbito, siempre los problemas grabes fueron por una mala asesoramiento de terceros, como cuando se quemo mi grafica y en este caso la fuente de poder (Supuestamente de gente que sabe más que yo y se dedica a eso) así que me defiendo bien y encuentro soluciones cuando lo necesito.

Realmente agradecido de que solo la fuente haya fallado, se supone que actualmente sucede eso, cuando hay algún problema eléctrico se arruina solo la fuente pero con la suerte que estuve manejando hubo momentos donde pensé lo peor. Gracias por pasarte y vivir esta experiencia conmigo @florecitamejias
Me apena en parte que hayas pasado por ese mal momento, pero por otro lado: me alegra mucho que el daño no haya ido a más.
El computador es una herramienta muy necesaria de trabajo y es ley que debemos tenerlo en las mejores condiciones posibles.
Bueno, que la mejor de las suertes le acompañen y que estén bien.
La verdad que cuando apenas me di cuenta que mi grafica estaba sana me calme totalmente, prácticamente me cure del susto JAJAJAJ. Gracias caballero por estar por aquí
