Greetings technology lovers, welcome to my post once again, I'm Nitsu and today I bring the second part of the national congress of 3D printing that I could attend in my country Argentina here I leave the previous post so you can see it and do not miss absolutely nothing. This time I bring a little more what may be of interest to anyone, figures, scale replicas and all those things that we see out there printed in 3D and not so much love so without further ado we begin.

En esta ocasión traigo un poco más lo que le puede interesar a cualquier persona, figuras, replicas a escala y todas esas cosas que vemos por ahí impresas en 3D y tanto no encantan así que sin más rodeos comenzamos.

A practical application of this technology in science are the 3D printed bones, on the one hand, they serve to have very accurate replicas so that medical students can study them and see them physically since it is not always easy to obtain real samples and there are people who are very easily impressed. Also by means of 3D scans, radiographs or tomographs it is possible to collect information from a patient and print a 3D replica of the area where an operation is to be performed in this way the doctor can observe the area and plan incisions in short think about the operation before taking the scalpel which shortens the operation times enormously.
Una aplicación práctica de esta tecnología en la ciencia son los huesos impresos en 3D, por un lado, sirven para tener replicas muy exactas para que los estudiantes de medicina puedan estudiarlos y verlos físicamente ya que no siempre es fácil obtener muestras reales y hay personas que se impresionan muy fácilmente. In the image on the right you can see jaws with metal pieces, these had the function of reconstructing a malformed jaw. A normal operation would have taken between 8 to 12 hours between preparing the patient, entering the affected area and thinking about the reconstruction, but with this method the operation only took 6 hours because the doctor was able to think and practice before operating, making his work much easier.

Una operación normal hubiera tomado entre una 8 a 12hs entre preparación del paciente, ingresar a la zona afectada y pensar en la reconstrucción en cambio con este método la operación solo duro 6hs ya que el medico pudo pensar y practicar antes de operar facilitando mucho su labor.
Then there was a venture totally focused on planetary lamps, sadly in the photograph it did not look right because it would require everything to be turned off but the quality of these lamps was literally out of this world. They had the texture of the different planets of the milky way so when the internal light passed through you could appreciate a very original concept and a perfect gift for any lover of the cosmos.

In the world of collecting we all know that this type of figures are very expensive, only a very specific public and with good purchasing power could be part of this area of collecting, but 3D printing opened a little more this market to create these pieces at a lower cost and although they are not original often printed pieces surpass the factory figures from the point of view of painting, design or other customizable section for each client. In this way it is possible to reach a wider audience as long as the expected quality is met.
Vamos al plato fuerte de esta sección las replicas de figuras coleccionables, este emprendimiento se encargaba de diseñar sus propias figuras o utilizar modelos ya existentes. En el mundo del coleccionismo todos sabemos que este tipo de figuras son muy costosas, solo un publico muy especifico y con buen poder adquisitivo podría ser parte de esta área del coleccionismo, pero la impresión 3D abrió un poco más este mercado la poder crear esas piezas a un costo menor y aunque no sean originales muchas veces las piezas impresas superan a las figuras de fabrica desde el punto de vista de la pintura, diseño u otro apartado personalizable para cada cliente. De esta forma se logra llegar a un publico más amplio siempre y cuando se cumpla con la calidad esperada.

Then there was a printer with double nozzle which allowed the use of two colors, here you can see a very original brown and blue octopus demonstrating the capabilities of this equipment. There were other places more focused on 3D prosthesis, show their quality of work and tell the journey of the company.

Later when I was about to leave I found out that a conference had started where different companies talked about their creations and research, some were in charge of offering services for companies that need to test and manufacture parts, other companies were specifically dedicated to the production of material for 3D printing and others in the creation of new machines. In this section at the end of each talk you could ask questions and I found it very enriching.

I loved the whole experience of this conference, I could see many innovations that I never thought were in development or even existed, my girlfriend was also very amazed at the application of 3D printing in the textile area since she studies clothing design, I really hope to attend another event of this style and to share all this knowledge here in the Hive Geek community.
