The One Teacher I Could Never Stand

Since they gave birth to us, person never rest. As a child , you’re being put in school against your will but yeah, they say say it’s for your future. Being a student can be a hassle sometimes. Having to go to class, study and juggle everything at the same time for almost half of your life.

Here in Ghana, most people don’t want to leave the educational system because life out there is hard. Being in school is more like a get away from the hardships of life for most people. Personally, I believe people here in Ghana make school look like an accomplishment because taking a gap year looks like you’re not doing well in life. For example, after senior high school, once you don’t go to university the same year you’re made to look like a failure which shouldn’t be the case.

As much as being in school is fun, it also has its problem.Teachers! Now let’s talk about teachers and how they torment some students. Teachers are supposed to be role models to their students in schools but some of them tend to stress some students out too much. We’ve all had those teachers who always go the extra mile to stress students out and I’ve had dozens of such teachers. Now, let me tell you about this one teacher I had during my university days.

He used to teach us these organic chemistry courses and man, this man could confuse the hell out of you and he was one of those difficult teachers. He would come to class and rattle so much and end up confusing himself and the whole close class. That that wasn’t even the issue. This man was just a difficult person.He would give assignments and expect you to submit the next day. And to make things worse, he would not even mark the assignment well. For his exams, he always brought past questions but he ended up giving half of the class Ds and even Fs. But he always gave his favorite students an A even if they didn’t do well. It wasn’t until final year we all found out about this.

To me, he was a good teacher but sometimes the way he went out things wasn’t just the right way. Teachers are supposed to support students but this man was more of someone trying to bring his students down and it wasn’t a good thing for me. So yeah,this is that one teacher for me.
