Inspiring the Next Generation

I always say that everyone of us is unique in his own little way no matter how much we think less of ourselves. Over the years I’ve had people around me talk about how they don’t think they’re good enough at one thing or the other but that’s because it’s all in their mindset.

I’ve come to learn that how a man thinks is who he is. The mind can be very tricky at times. If you see yourself to be a great person worthy of whatever you have, that’s what you would be but if you think of yourself to be a nobody, it will also reflect in your life because you’d restrict yourself all the time. I was once in this position without even knowing it until someone helped me come out of that phase in my life.

Now, I know who I am and I know that I am capable of achieving whatever I put my mind to. I’ve faced so many challenges in life but having a positive mindset was my way out of the situation. Growing up in a typical African setting, I know how hard it can be for young ones to aim for the best. Most at times there’s little to no guidance for our young ones and even no source of motivation whatsoever. It’s more like you’re left with your own fate in your hands and at the mercy of this wicked world.

Luckily for me, I was able to position myself well in order to get people to mentor me throughout my life journey. Most of the youth have no idea how to make this happen and so, if there’s one thing I’m good at and have dedicated most of my time to, it is helping our young ones reach their full potential by any means possible. Most at times, you really don’t need to do much to lift the spirits of these young ones. All you need to do is to create a safe space for them to be able to feel comfortable enough to learn, unlearn, and relearn while socialising and meeting mentors.

Occasionally, I make sure to get the team up and working across most local communities because they mostly lack these stuff and the kids there do not really have access to a lot of things as compared to those in the urban communities. Regardless, everyone matters to me because the future of our country, continent and the world at large lies in the hands of the youth.

I believe that by doing what I do for the youth, they’d be able to look up to me and take me as a role model as they go through their path in life. I’m a very convincing person and so trust me to use my words to make you a totally different person all together. The first step to achieving this is to make them know their worth, build their self confidence and then put them in the right places which would set them on the path to achieving success.

There’s no limit to what we can do as individuals and I believe that by giving my all the next generation of future leaders, our world would be and should be a better place. I am a change maker and I aim to make the world a better place.
