Efforts in Motion, Results in Sight

Have you ever set a goal for yourself and at the end of the day you realise all your efforts didn’t pay out as expected? Have you also ever worked so hard to achieve something and it worked out well for you? Have you also worked hard and it didnt work?

That is life and in life things don’t always go as planned. That is why we need to exercise patience in all we do as we work to achieve great things. Today I want to share with you my experience with efforts and results and what I learnt from these experiences.

A few years back, I found myself with a group of students who I didn’t really know much about them preparing for a competition. This competition was help among about 10 universities in Ghana and it was a big deal for all of us.

My team started started our preparations very early in order to attain perfection before the competition. We would stay up all night working on our scripts and rehearsing. It was all fun and we had a lot of members coming around to support us. At the end of the whole competition, we knew we deserved to take the first place but we were given the second place.

We were so devastated some of our team members started to cry. It was very heartbreaking. We consoled ourselves and hope to do better the next year. The next year came and we had hopes that if we worked harder we would place first. This time we started our very extra early and so everyone was working day and night. It wasn’t easy but we knew what we wanted to achieve.

At the end of the competition that year, we finally placed first. We were so happy that our efforts indeed paid out. We again won the next year which makes it two years in a row and we still hope to keep winning back to back.

Through these experiences, I have learnt that patience moves mountains and that through all our hardships there will surely be a positive outcome. Also , it’s never too late to achieve one’s goals and now is not the time to give up.

I have worked so hard to manage my savings but at the end, I spent it on something not important to me

Setting goals and not reaching them, but sometimes it teaches lessons to learn maybe we didn't plan well

Time they say solves all puzzles but I will always love to add that it can only solve those puzzles if we can only stay focused and never lose hope on our Dreams.
