Discovering My Perfect Learning Techniques

Hello,

Greetings everyone, I hope you are having a good day. Today I want to talk about learning, the various ways in which we as individuals learn and which which learning techniques we prefer as individuals.

As the saying goes,‘experience is the best teacher’ and I’m sure most of us believe it.Almost all of us have learnt our lessons the hard way and we have learnt to become the best of ourselves through our mistakes.

In this 21st century, most of us have been to through school because we desire to gain knowledge. Through our course of studying , we have come across many techniques of studying. Most of the time we find ourselves in the classroom being taught by our teachers or lecturers. Other times too we have to study on our own using books or the internet.

Even sometimes we find ourselves in groups studying with others or trying to study with others. I have experienced all these learning techniques and I have come to understand which ones work best for me. For example, I once joined a study group with some of my mates in class so we could study together. This really helped me a lot but it affected others and this shows that everyone has what works best for them.

Sometimes what we are being taught by our teachers is very difficult to understand due to how the teacher explains the whole concept and even sometimes our teachers themselves don’t understand what they’re teaching us, I’ve met one like that. At the end of academic year you find yourself in the exam hall alone and before that you need to make sure you understand everything that was taught and this is where the internet and our books come in.

Personally, I don’t really enjoy how some teachers teach so I’d rather stay at home than go for a class where I wouldn’t understand what is being taught. Some people will choose to go even if they don’t understand and that’s fine. Throughout my years of studying, I think group studies and personal studies work best for me. With these , we mostly resort to our notes, our mates or from the internet. This enables me to broaden my scope and read wide as compared to those who limit themselves to only what’s being taught in class.

So,do you think learning from first-hand experience is better than from a textbook or what you read online? Share your thoughts with me.

I hope you enjoyed reading this, thank you for your time.

Well, am not saying I understand all that is being taught in class but for the sake of quizzes and attendance I'll still go for that class. It's mostly those who don't teach well that like to give surprise quizzes.

I know right. They’ll come and just give a quiz because the number is less.
