Junction transistor

Hello greetings to all science lovers, this time I bring you the level of circuit physics, in my previous publication I shared about the triode, it is so easy to explain its scheme, since it is a type of electronic valve that It is used in electronic circuits as a signal amplifier or as a voltage controlled switch. For this opportunity we have the junction transistor is a semiconductor device that is commonly used in electronics to control and amplify electrical current.

For those who are unaware of its invention, this is due to William Shockley, John Bardeen and Walter Brattain in 1947 at Bell Laboratories in the United States, the unique thing, my reader friends, is that it is one of the most important technologies in the electronics industry .

Well now this unique junction transistor is made up of three regions of semiconductor material: the emitter region, the base region, and the collector region. These three regions are connected to each other by two PN junctions, giving the junction transistor its name. When a current is applied to the base terminal, the amount of current that flows through the transistor is controlled as a function of the base current. Thanks to all this information, the junction transistor allows us to act as a switch or as a signal amplifier.

For the function case in a circuit, the junction transistor can be used in several ways. For example, it can be used as a signal amplifier to increase the amplitude of an electrical signal. Not everything is here my dear readers, but also that this can be used as a switch to control the current that flows through a load in a circuit. What I liked for both cases, the filtering transistor is configured in the same way that the base wire controls the flow of wire that flows through the collector line.

From the positive point of view, well we have that the advantages of the filtering transistor is its ability to work at higher frequencies than previous electronic devices, such as vacuum tubes. Due to its low prominence and low power consumption, the filter transistor has become a decisive player in most modern electronic devices, including radios, televisions, computers, mobile phones, and cruise satellite systems.

This uniqueness of the filtering transistor also has some limitations. For example, its operation can be found unhinged by changes in temperature and humidity. In addition, overuse of single current voltage can trip the filter transistor, which can cause faults in the circuit.

Finally in the order of idea we have that the filtering transistor is a decisive player in modern electronics, which is used to unite and control the electrical single. Although it has some limitations, its many advantages have made it a decisive player in many electronic devices. Thanks to his invention, a great advance in electronics technology has been achieved.

We have the following representation where: starting from the same diagram of the junction diode, we find my science-loving friend, who only has a behavior similar to the diode from vacuum, which shows us the transistor formed by three semiconductors what It is similar to the triode. Since the transistor is made up of three extrinsic semiconductors: PnP or nPn, which work thanks to one of the directly polarized junctions, which is called the emitter-base and the other in the opposite direction is called the base-collector within a circuit.
