This humanoid is much more than a digital receptionist.

The Shangri-La Traders Hotel located at Hongquiao Airport became the first hotel in the world to use a full-service humanoid robot, the XMAN-R1, created by Keenon Robotics, one of the global leaders in service robotics.

And this humanoid machine is much more than a digital receptionist, it moves, speaks and reacts naturally, creating a futuristic hosting experience, powered by the KOM2.0 system, the first vision language action model developed for the service sector, the robot can interpret human intentions in real time, combining vision, speech and movement in a fluid response, in other words, it sees, understands and acts with almost human precision.

The XMAN-R1 does not work alone, it is the central point of a true robot ecosystem within the hotel.

While he is in charge of the reception and interaction with guests, other specialized robots perform specific tasks, the W3 makes deliveries to the rooms, the S100 transports luggage, the C40 is in charge of cleaning and the T10 and T3 deliver meals directly from the restaurants, it is as if the hotel has created a complete team with well-defined functions and full integration between robots and humans. This robotic orchestra is possible thanks to the KEENON ProS model, a system that trains robots for specific sectors such as hospitality, logistics and retail, dividing functions into delivery, cleaning and service modules, allowing each robot to learn exactly what it needs to do without requiring complex reprogramming.

The result is a more efficient, precise and always available service environment, with more than 100,000 robots already deployed in 60 countries, Keenon Robotics is redefining the concept of automated hospitality, the debut of the XMAN-R1 marks a symbolic step, the moment when artificial intelligence leaves laboratories and begins to avoid everyday life.

In the future, robots like this could be in hotels, hospitals even in homes working side by side with humans, to replace the human for a good part and to elevate the service experience to a new level, and the question that remains is, when you are greeted by a robot butler for the first time, will it seem strange to you or will you feel like you are finally in the future you always imagined?
