An event where it shows the best service robots.

As a technology lover, would you like to visit a tourism fair and be greeted by a robot that speaks eight languages, dances 20 different choreographies and also prepares an artisanal coffee while chatting with you? That was exactly what happened in Shanghai during the gigantic exhibition of the tourism industry in 2025 with more than 700,000 m² and 6,000 exhibitors. The event showed that the future of tourism goes far beyond tours and landscapes, it is incredibly intelligent and automated. humanoid.

The big star of the fair were the interactive service robots present in practically all sectors, the robot in female form Xiaoi was developed by the company Kim Bauen Jean Robot and was one of the main attractions of the event, standing out for its interaction skills with visitors, in addition to the dance presentations Xiaoi interacted with visitors by responding to commands and participating in conversations, demonstrating significant advances in the integration of robots in tourist and cultural environments.

The presence of the robot in the exhibition symbolizes the growing integration of robotics in the cultural tourism sector, offering new possibilities for interactive and personalized experiences exclusively for visitors, equipped with precision sensors articulated arms and a fluid, Xiaoi ground fresh beans explained the origin of the coffee and even served the drink with sympathy, in addition to the humanoids the robotic but of the Yuhu project climbed structures and interacted with the public.

With more and more human-robot interaction

Mixing security, spectacle and technology and a single experience, all of these robots were designed to act in real tourism and hospitality environments, they are equipped with lidar sensors, 3D computer vision and autonomous navigation systems, which allows them to walk, talk, dance and even patrol hallways safely and accurately.

The highlight is the integration between artificial intelligence, advanced mobility and interactive capabilities, allowing the robots to recognize emotions, adjust speech intonation and interpret contextual commands with a high degree of accuracy, and the robots at the Utech stand such as the Kingbow prepared drinks, danced and even took selfies with visitors.

This new generation of robots already incorporates multimodal capabilities with visual interpretation, voice commands, and dynamic mapping of the environment, allowing them to act as tour guides in museums, assistants in stores or even hosts in hotels and thematic fairs.

If today robots already dance, prepare coffee, guide tourists, interact with the public in a fluid and naturally robotic way, what will come next? Could it be that you will soon be greeted by a robot at the hotel check-in or who knows how to take a City tour accompanied by an android that understands your mood and preferences, comment there? Would you accept to be guided by an intelligent robot and a trip or do you still prefer a human touch in your experiences?
