Pluto, of course ! Last I heard they promoted it again, and any planet that gets a dog named after it has to be something special :D

Honourable mentions should go to Titan, Ganymede, Eris and Sedna, all of which aren't officially planets but are big enough that they would be if their orbits were among the inner worlds. Titan and Ganymede are especially interesting because when the sun turns red giant they could warm up enough to become almost earth-like and allow their complex organic hydrocarbons to evolve into life.

I haven't heard about this... can you send a link so I may satiate my curiousity?

I hadn't linked the two together but of course our star's expansion in it's later life will change the habitability dynamics of the entire Solar System. What remains of it in the aftermath anyway!

The whole Pluto thing definitely shows how most of us love rooting for the underdog (lmao) even to the extent that we will collectively anthropomorphise a frozen rock further out in space then any of us can possibly imagine (though still only a stone's throw in terms of the cosmic scale).

But, it's still a dwarf planet. I'm sure you're across the story but it was either change Pluto to dwarf status or expand the list of planets to 12 or more, as there are objects larger and further away from the Sun than Pluto. I have no big thoughts about it. The decision wasn't arbitrary; I respect the astronomical consensus on the matter, and I can say for sure that Pluto doesn't mind. At the end of the day it's all just a bit of harmless faux-rivalry and I can get behind that when it's all friendly.

If we're talking moons, my favourite would have to be Enceladus, with it's cryovolcanoes and subsurface ocean.

Thanks for your answer!
