Water vapor - my own experience and scientific perspective.

Hello everyone,
Today I am going to tell you about a very simple yet wonderful thing and that is water vapor. We often hear this word, but many of us do not know how it works and how important it is in our lives. I am speaking from my own experience and feelings.

As a child, I would wake up in the mornings during the winter seasons and I could witness small droplets of water on the grass. Then I would consider that it must have rained at night. I later understood that it was not raining but the water in the air had cooled and condensed into drops of water. It was then I was introduced to the fact that there is indeed water in the air but this is named water vapor.

According to the scientists, rivers, ponds and even the ground lose water slowly due to the heat of the sun by evaporation. The evaporating water is mixed with air and that is water vapor. This vapor ascends, condensates and gathers clouds before descending down as rain. This whole cycle of going back and forth is the water cycle. It is wonderful to consider it--how wonderfully nature performs its work, with no assistance of anybody!

I am able to experience the influence of water vapor well on hot days. Then there is such a stifling atmosphere in the air that it is hard to breathe. Even in case you leave your clothes to dry over hours, they will not dry. You also produce sweat on your body at all times. It is somewhat vexing at the time but then, it is at that time that, without this vapor, there would be no rain, no vegetation would thrive.

One afternoon I stood out of doors in the sun and I could see how hazy the road was, and I thought the air was shaking. And I then perceived it was the water vapor which rose in the heat. You cannot see it with the naked eye but you can feel it. The day was a very special one to me, as then I felt that nature was doing so many things of its own, without making a noise.

Scientists argue that the water vapor is involved in the process of sustaining the temperature of the earth. It is one of the greenhouse gases, i.e. it traps heat. In fact, it never gets chilly in the evening. Nevertheless, when the amount of water vapor is excessive, then it becomes hard during heat. It has got a very important balance.

Water vapor to me is a magic that is not visible. Without it, we would not have clouds, no rain and would not live such a lively life. we cannot see it with our eyes but this vapour is daily keeping our world alive. It strikes you when you think of it, how silently, but intelligently nature is going about her business.
