Making Use of Markdowns
Hi guys,
I hope we are doing amazing and having a blast for the weekend, the month of November already looks very promising and things have been great so far and I am optimistic that we will end the year in a grand style.
That said, how is your time on the blockchain? I hope you are having an amazing time in our community engaging and making new friends each and every passing time. Today I would like us to speak briefly about the subject of markdowns and how it may be of benefit to us.
Markdowns
Many things come into play when we talk about content sharing or writing. On the blockchain, we have the option of blogging through writeups or articles which of course must go in line with the proof of brain principle where we share original content, knowledge, or reference our information. Actually, I don't need to stress about plagiarism.
But then it is not just about writing when it comes to the aspect of blogging or sharing content through whichever community we may be writing through, for our writeups to appeal to other community members for engagement and being able to put our ideas out there, we must be able to catch the attention of our readers. How do we do this? There are some basic things we can do to enhance the appearance of our writeups and more often than not I leave these comments with our members.
It is a natural thing for a man to be drawn to a thing of beauty, uniformity, and clarity, which is why guys would easily stare at a beautiful damsel walking down the street in their nice apparel, not like girls don't admire guys too, this is just an example but if I came across two articles with the titles perhaps same information although I may not have read any of them yet, what would draw me to one first before the other? How nice and attractive the writing may be, how clear and simple it may look just by seeing it.
And so markdowns become a very important thing for us as writers to learn and employ in our writings. The fun and interesting about markdowns is that you do not need to be a coder or a programmer to be able to employ some of the very basic ones. You do not need to know complicated markdowns to be able to beautify your work, as a matter of fact, the use of too many markdowns in a writeup could spoil the entire effort of trying to enhance its aesthetics.
Here are some of the most basic ones I would recommend and they are quite easy to memorize, if you cannot memorize, you can put them in your notes and use them any time you write and if you want to go a step further then you can learn more, information is readily available on the internet and there is even the Visual Editor option available whiles you are writing your content on the blockchain, and most of the Dapps if not all have editor tools for these ones.
You should be able to bolden your text where necessary to draw attention to important points within your writeup, you should be able to employ the italics and you should be able to combine both as I have done. You should be justifying your text for uniformity and beautification as I have employed with my entire writeup and you should at least be able to align texts or images in the center, left, or right. The more complicated stuff I would the more curious individuals.
But being able to do these should be enough for you to add style to your writing when necessary and for emphasis. Please do not use all in one writeup and do not just be using them anyhow lest it makes reading boring too. Employing a few here and there would go a long way to make reading your work super fun and exciting.
Conclusion
Markdowns and text styling can do a lot for your work if you take time with them. I am leaving you a link here where you can get started with some of the basics.
I do hope that this helps a dear reader in making good use of some of these markdowns to add more appeal to their writing. Thanks for reading and for your time. Cheers!
