Yes, I feel that fanaticism can blind people. I know many people who fail to see the flaws in a piece of work, a person, or a cause, even if the flaw is as big as a cathedral. The story you told worries me, and I imagine the police are already used to that reaction from Tesla drivers, who didn’t bat an eye. I’m glad you’re back home now. Hugs

Yes, it blinds people and also I think when people are so firmly entrenched in an idea they're hesitant to admit they were wrong when presented with evidence that proves it. I'm sure there have been many Tesla owners pulled over by the police and given tickets. As the law stands now the driver is still responsible for what their car does.
