Monomad: Wasps in the Drizzle

After the rain this afternoon, I went out of the house carrying my cellphone and a lens to explore the bushes. At first I almost gave up, most likely I would not find anything in the drizzling afternoon. However, I still stepped through the wet bushes. Not long after I saw something passing between the leaves, they were dark-bodied wasps, yellowish eyes. I felt hopeful for tonight's content.

I carefully stepped following the direction the wasps flew, hoping to find their friends perched on tree trunks or leaves. Sure enough I found several wasps with black bodies, gray wings perched on a piece of grass, a type of grass with a hard stem. There I executed several shots, sometimes the wasps flew, avoided, then not long after returned to their original place.

I managed to take several shots, sometimes I had to be patient waiting for them to calm down. In the drizzle this afternoon I got several good shots, and that was very satisfying, I thought.
