AI : From Jobs to Tasks

Today was a rest day for me and I wasn't sure I was going to write a post, but I think I'll have to write this tonight as a Saturday night rambling because it's a topic that many people have many misconceptions about.

I want to elaborate on the trending topic that seems to have gotten everyone's attention, especially in the job market. You might've guessed it already.... yes, I'm talking about Artificial Intelligence.

It's impossible to talk about disruptive technology in the last few years and not talk about AI because it's a tool that has been able to make its way into many sectors to not just be a part of the game but also there to dominate.

For instance, Art, Education, Content creation, Programming and many more are part of the sectors that AI has been able to dominate in terms of Job opportunities. With learning, you now have ChatGPT and you can learn about basically anything. All you just have to do is ask.

And for this reason, many people fear the day that AI would take over the jobs and task that they should be doing and getting paid for. Which in their mind means there would be zero jobs left for humans to do.

But that's not real because now that AI is taking some jobs it's also creating other opportunity to replace it.

If not for the fact that Hive is one of the few platforms that prefers originality we would have seen a massive increase in number of AI created vlogs and accounts on the blockchain. YouTube, for instance, now has some channels that only create contents using AI and are getting paid for it.

That's one of the new ways that people can join in on the global economy without having to compete with AI. Instead, you're using it to your advantage. This is one of the ways to use AI to your advantage. And if you're not who wants to create using an AI, you can join Hive and create original content while getting paid for it.

Jobs are replaced by Tasks

Truth be told, the era of having white collar or whichever color job is coming to an end and the new trend would be about completing tasks.

Before, you would have to be employed to be paid but today with AI taking over many of the jobs you will be paid for various tasks that you can do online or offline. For instance, crypto is a technology that rewards miners for validating transactions on the blockchain. Models like that are what I believe would replace the old way of getting paid.

Work from home is just the beginning of this revolution, which is why it's best to stay informed and pay attention to whatever tasks or activity would carry much weight over the next couple of years.

If you place yourself in the right position then you're not going to be scared of what's about to hit the job market.
